The media could not be loaded. I purchased this kit for my husband for Father’s Day. He had been looking at it and dreaming about it for awhile, so I surprised him with it. He LOVED it~what a great project for him to work on. He took his time on it and it took about a month or so (he had lost one small piece, somehow, so he had to order a replacement which took about a week.). All throughout the project, he kept saying how well thought out and genius it was. When I came home yesterday, he had finished it and it worked! Now he want’s to order another one. I would highly recommend this kit!

Building this was pretty smooth and fun. I liked installing all the wires and motherboards it looks great and will look a lot better once painted! The only thing that stopped me putting 5 stars is the ball gets stuck in some corners and after installing the black bumper assembly I noticed my left bumper button had a very very slight curve to it so the bumper doesn’t go back to where it is supposed to be. Other than that this set is freaking awesome!

This is very fun and satisfying to build. It is for adults or mature children because there are lots of small parts, and you must look closely at the illustrated instructions. The secret is to take your time and enjoy the process as you go. When finished you'll have a machine that is remarkably well designed and fun to play. There are lights, bells, music, and automatic scoring to keep it interesting. It's not perfect. Sometimes a scoring sensor will miss the ball going by, or the ball might land on top of something on the board and stay there. Minor issues, and to be expected with anything like this. A few tips: Get a set of acrylic paint pens (about $10 on Amazon) and color the parts. I painted some in advance, and a few as I went along. Also, I put a coat of polyurethane varnish on the playing surface and ramps in advance of building. Finally, they supply wax for the moving parts, but a waxy stick lubricant like Door-Ease works best. Overall this is a great bargain for the money. Highly recommended, and cheers to the brilliant designers!

...this wooden pinball workable model together. There are many parts which is part of the elegance of it and the fact that it should take time to put it together. Do it with others or by yourself, take your time and enjoy the process. There's a lot of components so make sure you have space to keep the items out, organized and safe so that you can go back to work on it when you want too. My hubs is using a better quality wood glue to reinforce areas/parts. BEST PUZZLE ever!!!! We are going to use it on top of our bar for friends and family to enjoy! P.S. The mortis and tenon construction should mean the machine will become an antique one day because of quality construction. Also, yes there are lights and sounds that go off too. By the way, I plan on painting it some groovy fab retro colors. This is a higher quality puzzle, to do gift.

First of all, incredible support from Rokr. One of the connectors came unsoldered from the controller circuit board and they sent me a replacement. It took over a month from China, but still - excellent service. Design issues: The ball failed to drain all the way onto the launcher. It would rest there at the exit not quite all the way out. Had to pull the lever twice to get a launch. First one to clear it from the exit tunnel. I managed to fix that from underneath. It's impossible to hit the steep and short center ramp. On the rare occasion you manage to get enough momentum to make it up the ramp, which cannot be done from a ball hold, the ball just launches completely over the top of the ramp. That's frustrating after all that assembly time, which is considerable. If I raise the front of the table to make that ramp easier, my ball drain stops working again. It might improve things if they made that ramp longer. Not sure. I'm tempted to try cobbling something together myself, but would have to cover one of the lights. So, maybe 3.5. Probably try one of the roller coasters instead.

My teenage son loves to build these sets. He's done so many it's hard to find one that takes more than an hour or two. This one was lots of fun. It was challenging just due to sheer size and amount of pieces. He had a lot of fun building it and has it displayed with his other kits. The pieces were well cut went together fine. Be sure to use plenty of wax, especially on small and easily broken pieces.
