  • This kit ROCKS!!
Can we talk about how BEAUTIFUL this kit is? It comes in the most adorable box ever, with very neatly packaged, clearly labelled pieces, and well written instructions. As someone who has a bit of an obsession when it comes to miniature kits, I can say that by far, this is the prettiest set I've ever opened. I was pleasantly surprised to see the quality of the parts--most of the kits I'm used to can have very flimsy or even paper parts to build with. This is all actual wood. It is gorgeous. I was nervous to see the planks that the tiny chopping boards and other kitchen accessories come on, as I wasn't looking for a bunch of super thick wood to manually cut, but when I opened it I was once again thrilled to see they are immaculately pre-cut and pop out easily. The instructions are highly detailed, and also in English, (most kits I order are through Chinese companies and the instructions can be...interesting...to say the least) and there are more than enough step by step pictures to clarify any type of confusion you may have. (In which to say, you don't NEED to speak English to put this together) I am greatly looking forward to putting this together and absolutely recommend this company to anyone who is on the fence about this kit. They will be getting my business again for sure!! ... show more

  • Easy to follow instructions!
I had a blast with this set turning it into a spooky kitchen scene. The instructions are easy to read once you get the hang of it. Nothing was missing from the set but you can see I added and subtracted a few of homemade pieces and pieces the kit came with. Whether you stick to the instructions or change it up completely, it is easy to follow and a lot of fun to make! ... show more

  • Super cute project/Some Instructions unclear
Super cute project/Some Instructions unclear This is a really cute and mostly fun project. My only issues are: 1. Some pieces don't fit together as perfectly as I would like. 2. The instructions are really not very clear. 3. The pieces are not organized in a way that makes it simple to do as an ongoing project. I would recommend searching online for the step by step video someone posted. I would not have been able to do it without it. ... show more

  • My Favorite Kit Yet
The media could not be loaded. Yes, I went berserk customizing this. It took two months to finish up but I wasn't in any hurry. I've made several of these now and as usual, I was flummoxed and reduced to tears over the lighting. Stuck it together and to the bottom of the structure with electrical tape. Some of the pieces (pots, baguette, all those "decorations") just didn't work for me so I stuffed them in the can behind the polka-dot curtain or in the basket on the top shelf. I also screwed up the roof as usual and had to just fake the windows, as I had assembled them together incorrectly. I can deal with a glass-less back window and I tell myself that the open side window is to vent the gas burners. I wanted this to look like an actual, usable kitchen, so I added the stove and put the "cabinet" over the hole where the pot rack thingie was supposed to go. Made the hole into a vent for the bread box. Printed the cookbook, backsplash (oops--I seem to have tossed out the chair rail pieces), posters. The rolling pin is toothpick ends and some of that included craft paper. Added the shelf left over from another kit and swiped some Victorian corbels from the model train-building husband to make shelf brackets. A lot of the instructions were complete gibberish (see last photo). I'm tellin' ya, after I reeved that, I kept no fixation have. For 5mm long. Final product is just fascinating and so I'm giving this kit 5 stars. Wondering what to do with that cute table/flower arrangement I made that I just couldn't find room for in this kitchen! ... show more

  • Totally absorbing...time passes so quickly!
Loads of fun for this 65 year old who has loved miniature things since childhood. So, even though the kit says it comes with all the supplies you'll need, I added a few of my own, like a pair of curved reverse tweezers, some fabric draping/stiffening liquid for a few of the tiny boxes and bags and the blue kettle, a sharp sewing needle, white gloss enamel for the walls (because I didn't think the included white acrylic had good coverage), some cream colored string to replace the raffia "rope" around some of the boxes, and some other little odds and ends. Hubby comes out to the sunporch where I've set up a crafting table and is always amazed at the tiny things I've made, but says it would drive him crazy because he has no patience. I told him it would probably be his concept of Hell...being sentenced to putting miniature dollhouse items together for all of Eternity...ha ha! The instructions are, for the most part, quite clear except for a few things, but it's not hard to reason out what's supposed to go where. One hint though....keep everything!!!! I learned that yesterday when I was attempting to raise the walls and install the flooring. Well, the base of the floor turns out to be the wooden piece all the little clothespins, cutting boards, and kitchen tools are cut from. The rest is used for the floor base. I, unfortunately, thought the leftover piece would make a fine cutting board so I wouldn't scratch up the table I'm working on. I made two of them, then threw the rest away. Hubby cut me a new floor from particle board, so it's all good now. Don't be afraid to be creative or to change whatever you don't like or what doesn't work for you. No need to make it look exactly like the picture...make it your own! :) Loads of fun, and I've already ordered two more kits. One is a music room/man-cave and the other is a Christmas one. Takes lots of patience, and is definitely NOT for small children. EDIT TO ADD: Ajpril 20, 2018,,,,One of the wooden parts was warped, unfortunately, and nothing I did would fix it. I contacted the seller, Robotime, and they went way beyond my expectations in resolving the issue. Thank you so much!! :) ... show more
