    • Thread Continually Broke!
I was pretty excited when I saw that Robison-Anton was producing extra strength rayon thread! I ordered not one...but three spools of the Snow White. I was creating lace edging at the time and needed/wanted white rayon thread for it. I knew I couldn't go wrong with the Robison-Anton thread, as it has always been such wonderful thread to use. I have a Viking Diamond embroidery machine and when I got my white thread, I threaded up my machine and began creating some lace. My machine didn't go two minutes when the thread broke. I threaded my machine up once again and started it. A few seconds later it broke again! Over and over and over the thread broke. I took my machine's bobbin area apart and cleaned it out, thinking maybe that was the problem. I made doubly sure I was threading my machine correctly several times (which I knew I was!), but the thread still broke. I tried putting the thread on my thread holder (on the table), but it still broke. I even tried applying some Sewer's Aid (I think it's called) silicone on the spool of thread I was using.....it still did not make any difference. I changed my needle and tried 2 or 3 kinds (embroidery/topstitch, etc.)....the thread still broke within a minute or two. I even tried changing the upper tension a little on my machine. but the thread still broke. I spent HOURS trying to figure out why the thread was breaking, but could not. I assumed I had probably gotten a bad batch of thread. But now I see others have had the same problem with this thread, so I no longer think that's the problem. I was SO disappointed with this thread. I've never had this happen to me with any other thread. I didn't try returning the thread, as I thought maybe it might still work on my other Brother embroidery machine or my older Viking Designer I. Time has gone by now and I still haven't gotten around to trying the thread on my other machines yet, so still don't know. This is my first negative review and I feel a little guilty even posting it. But I think the Robison-Anton company needs to know about this problem. ... show more
