Okay, I went back and forth on this keyboard. When I unpacked it, I was shocked how light the keyboard was. I mean really light, amazingly light. The plastic is thick and sturdy enough, but the lightness of it made me question the quality. Okay, first of all, there isn’t a way to plug it in that I saw, just batteries. You need four AA batteries and you must have your own very small screwdriver. Typically, when you need a very. small screwdriver to install batteries, they typically give you the screwdriver. Now, I’ll be honest, 5his thing does sound much better than I thought. It doesn’t sound nearly as good as a decent keyboard, but for a starter, it did sound good. The way the keys bounces back, is appropriate. It is really good for beginners! It does have a lot of bells and whistles and “voices” or whatever you call them. It is decent and they work well. However, with all of that said, I feel this is almost double the price of what it is worth. It is a cheap keyboard with fair quality sound with a cheap speaker in a cheap plastic case. I could not justify paying the $159 price it is listed at when I wrote this review. It does work and is decent enough, but I can’t justify the price. Overall, good if you want to pay this much. I hope this review was helpful.

I had no great expectations when I ordered this keyboard as a starter instrument upon which to learn how to play keyboard, as opposed to guitar or electric bass, where the comfort or discomfort of the instrument can influence a beginner’s willingness to spend the necessary practice time to improve their playing. A keyboard just needs to respond to the student’s touch in tune and with decent action. At a price point under $100.00, this keyboard, WITH STAND, presents a good option for someone to learn the fundamentals of piano playing without too much financial sacrifice. Please note that I am not grading this piano on how its bells and whistles function, not even to whether the keyboard is touch sensitive as to the volume produced by a greater or lesser force is applied to the individual keys. I am only interested in whether the keys produce the correct sounds when I press them and whether they rebound appropriately after I release my touch. This keyboard accomplishes those two functions as it should. At the beginning of my keyboard journey, I just need an instrument with which to practice scales, simple songs and develop my dexterity, etc. The keyboard has an electric adapter that allows for operation with a usb cable and power block or four AA batteries (not included). The keyboard appears to be reasonably sturdy and should be able to withstand some minor drops from, maybe, two or three feet. However, that is just my layman’s guess; I am no engineer. Enjoy.
