Top Amazon Reviews

  • High‑detail 4K wired doorbell that gives clear, wide‑angle security for home or business
Color: Polished Mocha Size: 1 doorbell Configuration: Wired
I installed the Ring Wired Doorbell Pro (newest model) at my entryway to get sharper, more reliable video security for both home and business use, and the Retinal 4K wide‑angle footage with up to 10x enhanced zoom really does feel like a major upgrade over older HD doorbells. The 4K resolution and wide‑angle lens capture faces, license plates, and package labels clearly even at a distance, so playback is detailed enough to see exactly what happened instead of just vague shapes at your door. Low‑Light Sight and Adaptive Night Vision keep footage in true color in near‑dark using ambient light (like street lamps or porch lights), and then shift to sharp black‑and‑white when it’s completely dark, which preserves clarity for nighttime events and makes people and objects easy to identify. With Live View and Two‑Way Talk with Audio+, I can see, hear, and speak to visitors in real time from my phone, which is useful for deliveries, verifying visitors at a business entrance, or talking to someone when I’m not on site. The 3D Motion Detection uses radar‑powered sensing and customizable motion zones to pinpoint motion on the property and cut down on false alerts from passing cars or random street movement, so I get more relevant notifications instead of constant noise. Video Descriptions add a text summary to motion alerts—identifying whether it’s a person, package, or vehicle—so I know what’s happening before even opening the app, and with a Ring subscription I can keep up to 180 days of event history for review, sharing, or evidence if needed. Because it’s hardwired into existing doorbell wiring, the Ring Wired Doorbell Pro runs on continuous power, avoiding battery swaps and keeping always‑on protection and a stable Wi‑Fi 6 connection (dual‑band 2.4 GHz/5 GHz recommended, with about 10 Mbps upload for best performance). The design itself is sleek and modern, with finishes like Deep Silver, Polished Night Navy, Sandstone, or Mocha, so it doubles as a statement piece at the door rather than looking like an afterthought camera box. Setup is approachable as a DIY project with step‑by‑step guidance in the Ring app, but you can also have a professional handle it, which is nice for business installs or complex wiring. The main things to consider are that you’ll want solid internet speeds, a Ring subscription to unlock full features like extended video history and advanced alerts, and a comfort level with having cloud‑connected footage on your property, but if you’re okay with those, the combination of Retinal 4K clarity, wide‑angle coverage, and precise motion detection makes this one of the strongest front‑door security upgrades you can make. I feel comfortable giving the Ring Wired Doorbell Pro (newest model) 5 out of 5 stars for both home and business entrances. ... show more

  • Disappointed in Visual Clarity Disappointed in Visual Clarity
Color: Polished Mocha Size: 1 doorbell Configuration: Wired
This was a replacement for an earlier version of a Ring Doorbell Camera that was installed 6 years ago. I was quite disappointed in the "4K" video as compared to the previous (1080) version of the Ring. I bought this to try out the new "4K" Ring devices as I wanted to replace three Floodlight Cams with the new 4K Floodlight cams. Happy I found out before I spent almost $300 per Floodlight Cam. The doorbell device is pretty (see attached photo) and coordinates with the fiber cement siding (Nichiha) on our new home. Bottom Line: Expensive upgrade that is absolutely NOT WORTH THE PRICE> ... show more

  • Subscription required to record video
Color: Polished Mocha Size: 1 doorbell Configuration: Wired
Had I known these Ring doorbells were subscription based in order to record, I would have never bought it, Makes no sense to pay a yearly fee when other doorbells do the same job and better without a subscription.

  • reduced detection down tot 20-30 ft.manual doorbell connection obsolete.
Color: Polished Mocha Size: 1 doorbell Configuration: Wired
I am glad I read the 1 star reviews . I was going to purchase this with a 20% discount that amazon is offering but now after reading that it doesn't work with existing manual door bells and it reduced detection .I am no longer interested.one of the reason I was considering it was the possibility to be able to read lincese plates of cars passing by if this even possible . I was convinced it could . but not NOMO:) ... show more
