So this does NOT fit the doorbell wireless plus. With that said, it can still be fiddled together. The casing that attaches to the original holder for the doorbell plus and this just do not line up right. But it's close enough that once you add screws it stays secure and it's not really noticeable. Otherwise the charging capacity has been top notch. I went from a 70% to a 95% after the morning sun finally crossed over to where it won't shine on it anymore. So about 4-6 hours of direct light charging. Huge burden off my shoulders. It seems like every time I was charging the battery, was when people would try to use it the most. Now with my solar panel installed my camera should stay well charged! Took me about 20 minutes to set it all up, but I imagine someone more handy could have it done in less time. I'm tech savvy, but not handy man savvy lol. ... show more

Works great for doorbell plus 2023 model. I was skeptical that a solar panel like this would actually help much, I thought maybe it would give 2-3 weeks extra battery life. Nope, it actually positively charges the doorbell. Even on a cloudy say I see the battery percentage go up positively. My 3 complaints are: - The cord should be detachable, would make routing it a bit easier. - Should allow for a longer cord, it's pretty long - but was a bit too short to get it all the way to the south side of the house. I barely got it there and couldn't get it quite where I wanted it to be because of it. - The mount is pretty basic, would benefit from being able to angle it different directions, it's just up and down, no rotating, angling sideways, etc. Update: It charges the doorbell to 100%! Despite the less than ideal placement it charged from 50 to over 90% in a week, with all except 2 days being cloudy. Extremely satisfied, I don’t expect to need to charge the battery anymore. ... show more

First of all, the spacer plate is not compatible with the new Ring 2 doorbells. You can skip it though. Just take one of the top screws off of the existing mounting plate so you can slide the wire behind it. It’s easy to install. Also, you should fully charge the battery before attaching the solar panel. My panel did not register on the app (now it says “hardwired”) until we had a full decent sunny day. It was really that flippin cloudy for a solid week. Just make sure the wires are securely attached and that the panel is in a decent spot facing south. Don’t jump to conclusions until that bright sun comes out and you’ll be fine. ... show more

This device has been tremendously handy for my ring battery doorbell. You will notice that I did not rank tech support too high - the low score is because customers are directed to the user communities a lot. It is easy to install and it does extend the battery life of the door bell. Even on cloudy days it indicates 100% charging. I also have noticed that I do not have to recharge the doorbell battery as frequently as I previously did prior to connecting the solar charging panel. The front of my house faces south so sunlight isn't an issue. It installed very easily and keeps my ring charged reliably. Remember, it doesn't keep it charged to 100% constantly. It lets the battery run down to about 89%, then charges it back up so don't freak out when you see it sitting at 90% and think it isn't working. It helps that the little battery icon in the ring app shows when it is connected to solar and when it is charging from solar. Sure beats worrying about the battery dying. Buy it...ON SALE. It was a breeze setting up and since my home is trim in wood panels painted white it made the way the wires went easier. I charged my battery before I set up the panel so I can’t speak on the speed of charging as yet. You have so many screws/screw accessories that come with but I didn’t use half of them only the white pieces that keep the wire line in place!!! All you need is a small Phillip screw driver! No technical support needed. I will edit later on that piece of info on charging time. ... show more

This works amazing. I used to charge my ring doorbell battery once a week and it took atleast 8 hours to charge. With the solar panel i haven't charged it once since i got it and it still at 99% battery life

I was hesitant about purchasing any of the ring solar products after reading some reviews. I decided to take a chance on it after having to swap out the battery on my Ring 2 doorbell every 2 weeks. No more. Happy to admit my doorbell has averaged about 92% over the past month. The solar panel will only charge the battery once it drops below 90% which great for the overall battery health. I am very glad I finally pulled the trigger on the solar panel and recommend this product anyone who wants to avoid ever having to swap out their Ring doorbell battery again. ... show more
