When I searched Amazon for a waterproof USB-C extension cable, I found this item and I found another knockoff item. The knockoff item did not connect the CC line, which violates the USB specification. This prevents USB-PD devices, such as Macbooks, from charging over the cable. I had to return it. This cable seems to work a lot better. I verified with a multimeter that CC is connected. Note that the data lines (D+ and D-) are not connected, so this is only good for charging.

Expensive for what it is, but it fits correctly and has o ring seals for water intrusion resistance. I found a TINY smear of Vaseline or lip balm on the male connector plastic part that fits inside the female connector helps them go together much better and also gives a tiny bit more sealing against water. Do NOT get any on the metal part of the connector or inside the connector or it will not work properly.

I have a Synology CC400W Camera and needed an extension USB-C cable for outdoor use. Although this seems expensive ($20), luckily my camera cable did fit in the extension, and this cable did work to power my camera. Now I can tuck the cable in to the siding/trim to hide it. A 90-degree male USB-C end would have been even better for me.

We use some of these with the solar panels and they work great. Have some Ring "plug-in" cameras that we wanted to move farther from the outlets, so tried these to see if they'd work for that. And they do! (We've tried them with only the Ring Spotlight Pro cameras, which can be used with battery and/or plug-in adapter, or just a solar panel. Haven't tried them on any other types of Ring cameras.) Our cameras using plug-in adapters and these extenders also have battery backups, and the trickle charge through these extenders is keeping our batteries charged at 100% even under heavy usage (meaning, when the camera was recording almost all day because of activities in the yard). So now we're using them in both solar panel and plug-in applications, and they work perfectly. Very pleased!!
