I knocked off one star because I'd say the color is a bit misleading. Bordeaux, I wouldn't say is actually deep, burgundy "blood" red. If that's what you're expecting, then I don't recommemd this shade. It is more on the purple side, like a violet red, but it's still a pretty color and I'll use it for my theatre makeup. Also it has a nice scent to it! A bonus, I can't stand makeup with that plasticky odor. It's It's also moisturizing on the lips. It came in perfect, no melting or damage to the product. This came super fast (next day!); however, it was delivered to my mailbox outside (despite instructions not to), so if you live in an extreme environment, it might melt or freeze. It smells good, slightly like chocolate and slightly like normal lipstick. Even though it is smooth and creamy, it also has tiny bits of metallic pigment, and you can feel it if you are sensitive enough. Pretty good staying power- not enough to stay on through eating/drinking but due to the little metallic particles, it stays put and won’t bleed. It goes on slightly sheer with one pass but if you go over your lips again, the coverage is opaque. It does remind me of the frosted pink lipstick of the eighties, which I wasn't going for. I wanted to find a slightly pink nude, like a baby pink, and this is a bit too pearly for me. Bummer, because I was really excited to use it! It will go into the lipstick graveyard of tubes I don't use. :( ... show more
