They are really cute, comfortable women’s boots. They are warm and comfortable to wear. The bad news is that they have a strong chemical smell. I’m not sure what the source is but I think it’s the rubber soles. I bought a good quality spray that removes orders and it helped a lot. I left them outside in very cold weather and that helped too. I bought a 42 in black. They are very cute and have potential to be an everyday boot but definitely need some kind of insole. I generally wear a 10.5 US and the 42 fits well but once the insole is added they are a tight fit. Perhaps that will improve with time. Out of the box my foot was flat with no cushioning or support and tended to shift around a bit (I have a narrow foot). I shopped around for insoles and finally decided to try an existing pair from another pair of shoes to see how they felt. Not perfect yet but better than without. Also, if you have high arches like me you may struggle to get your foot in as the side zipper does not give a lot of access space. Balance all this with the cuteness factor and I gave them 3 stars. They definitely could include a better insole with the boot. They seem well made but I fear that the tension put on the zipper may limit their life. ... show more

I put obeo foot beds in from the walking store. I used these to travel to Switzerland. They were great walking through airports, a little hot on the plane but easy to get off and on. Also wore them hiking on the groomed snow trails with crampons all over the hiking trails of Zermatt. I wouldn’t recommend them for hiking on rocks, they were great for hiking on snow-covered trails. I am very picky about how shoes feel so I don't buy shoes online unless I know the brand and style. I had never bought Reiker before but these were cute and had good reviews. They are so comfortable, no break in period at all. They are warm enough for that in between fall/ spring weather that is in the 20's and 30's. Not sure I would wear them in heavy snow and ice unless just going to and from the car while running errands or going out at night. I would definitely buy them again. So happy. ... show more
