  • Great book for aspiring concept artists.
Harald Belker is one of the foremost vehicle designers in the entertainment industry. While only focusing on one vehicle rather than a grab-bag of concepts, this book gives a unique glimpse into Harald's design process and techniques. With futuristic concepts and incredibly detailed artwork the book is not to be missed for any aspiring concept designer or fan of futuristic vehicles. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Beautiful book, documenting a concept designer's process
Great to see Harald's process going from traditional sketches developed all the way through to the final rendered 3D model. Incredibly useful and insightful book documenting the process of one of the best concept designers working today.

  • Too thin but excellent art
Harald is a great designer and renderer, but this book is too little for the money. I would have liked process drawings, maybe tutorials or something more to fill things out. Again, the content is great, but it's a thin book.

  • Declining value from Design Studio Press
For several years, the designers from Design Studio Press have offered lavish soft-cover books at attainable prices. There have been signs of declining product quality however; some of the better-known designers have farmed out work to their students. With Ride, talented designer Harold Belker has divided ONE project - a motorcycle - into FIVE, count them, FIVE pamphlets! Each one costs as much as the previous books by this studio. Either DSP has fallen on desperate economic times, or has become greedy. I suspect the latter. ... show more
