After two of our high-ball glasses broke, I ordered this set and am very pleased with it. The glasses look very elegant and feel weighty without being heavy. The base is weighted in order to give the glass an added sense of stability. It won’t be easy to knock these over. The ribbed surface extends from the top of the glasses to the base but is separated near the bottom by a channel that runs all around the glass. The combination of the channel and the ribbed surface makes for a secure grip. These glasses won’t easily slip out of your hand even if wet. The ribbed surface is also exceptionally attractive and gives the appearance of something classic, maybe from the middle of the 20th century. I can totally see Don Draper drinking an Old Fashioned out of one of these. I am very pleased with these am looking forward to hoisting a drink or two in the near future. Fit and finish: Excellent. True to advertising: Yes. Suitable for Purpose: Yes. Met Expectations: Exceeded. True to size: Yes. Overall: five stars out of five stars, highly recommended.
