This doesn't come with a lot of detailed instructions, so you might have to do some Googling to figure everything out (as far as technique is concerned), but it's a nice set and is perfect for someone that wants to start a new hobby. Like me.

I'm an amateur airbrush user, airbrushing 3D prints and resin castings but intend to try my hand at airbrush art soon. I've been airbrushing for a couple of years, but haven't been able to airbrush in winter, so I'm a bit more of an amateur than I may seem. For the longest time, I used and still use the first dual action airbrush I started with. Over the last two years I've bought other airbrushes, and have ditched a lot of them for various reasons. For example, I bought two trigger style airbrushes late 2021 and both have been problematic. I won't elaborate on that, but I share this to state that I do have experience with different airbrushes. So, I've been wanting to get another airbrush. My starter airbrush is sporting a standard 0.3 mm nozzle, and my nicest airbrush, a Sparmax S76 airbrush, has a very fine, tight spray pattern, so I run a 0.2 mm nozzle in it. Since I mostly coat figures in paint, I have tried a 0.5 mm nozzle with another airbrush that I had to get rid of, I wanted a good, RELIABLE airbrush to run a 0.5 mm nozzle. This airbrush has had that in spades! One reason why I've bought and dumped some of my old airbrushes has been that although they were advertised as dual action airbrushes, they were not. So, I was a bit hesitant on this one, but I gratefully note that it truly is dual action. Another reason I've dumped airbrushes is because of poor quality, mostly in machining fitment and finish, causing leaks, clogs and other issues. The worse thing I can say about this airbrush is that it's anodizing finish makes cleaning the paint cup a bit tricky, that's it! Even though I've only used this airbrush a handful of times, I've cleaned it thoroughly every time I've used it, and I've never experienced any clogs, and all parts of the airbrush still fit together with no issue. I have noticed that this airbrush's cup is slowly losing a bit of the anodized finish from the extensive cleanings, though. But I'm not concerned; I have several extra cups that aren't anodized, and since the cup on this airbrush is removable, replacing it will be a breeze. When I first got this airbrush, it had a 0.3 mm nozzle and needle installed. I used it with that setup for a while, since I was a bit wary of this airbrush. When I decided to try the included 0.5 mm needle and nozzle, I was impressed! Not only did this airbrush come with a 0.2 and 0.5 mm nozzle and needle, it came with matching caps for each of those sizes!! Not even my Sparmax came with extra caps! Using this airbrush with the 0.5 mm setup has been just as awesome and reliable as it is with the 0.3 mm setup out of the box. And again, no clogs or fitment issues, and despite my concerns about this airbrush's anodized finish, I haven't had any major issues cleaning this airbrush. As I said, cleaning the paint cup can be a bit tricky, but it's not impossible. If I had to keep only one of my airbrushes, I'd gladly take this one, again, even over the Sparmax! It is my hope that as my airbrushing journey continues, I'll be able to try some nice airbrushes from reputable brands like Iwata. Having used this so heavily in such a short time and being so impressed, this airbrush has really raised the bar for my expectations though! ... show more

My use of an airbrush is different than I think most people use them for. I have custom auto paints mixed for antique repair jobs so I use this as a small-version spray gun or spray paint can. There is no fine detail work with what I do. I spray, bake, tape, spray some more, bake again, and eventually clear coat with a final bake. My needs are just an even application spray without clogging, spitting, or sputtering. And being easy to clean is a plus. So for me, this airbrush kit is pretty nice :-) ... show more

I got this to try a new craft. I’ve always wanted to try airbrushing as it gives a different effect than my usual mediums. This seems like a pretty decent airbrush, it is lightweight and fits in your hand nicely. The cap for the paint is a little tight and sticks a bit and the spray button is a little sticky. As my first 2-stage airbrush, there is a learning curve to get over. You have to remember to both push down on the button (to start the air) and then pull back to spray paint. This definitely takes some practice, especially when trying to do finer details. Making sure your paint is properly thinned and strained is also critical, but that is true of most air brushes.
