  • This May Be the Journal You’ve Been Searching For
Overall, this is a quality set of notebooks. Whether or not it will work for you depends on your personal preferences / requirements / needs when it comes to a bullet journal. If you can look past the cons listed below, then this could be the journal you’ve been searching for. *I did not remove stars due to personal personal preferences. The journals were in excellent condition and perfectly functional according to the product description; thus, it received 5 stars. Pros: - Size: It comes in a B5! So few B5 journals are available compared to A5. For those who want a larger but not gigantic journal this is the perfect size. - Dot Grid: Dots line up fairly well across pages - Elastic closure, inner pocket, and two bookmarks NUMBERED PAGES: Big plus for not having to number pages by hand PAGE COUNT: 192 pages per journal is a lot compared to some other B5s Price: Two journals for this price is a good deal for B5 journals. Cons: - PAPER QUALITY: This journal has 100 gsm paper that feels grainy and thin. Personally, I would rather have fewer pages or have to number all my pages in exchange for better paper quality. Which is what I did. I returned these journals because a similar style had smooth, thick, quality 120 gsm paper with slightly fewer unnumbered pages. This is personal preference, however, so I didn’t remove any stars. - No index or contents pages - Soft cover: This may be personal preference. Although soft-cover journals are lighter and more portable (which is important to consider if you want to carry a journal of this size with you), there is a risk that the cover may not be thick enough to protect its pages from damage if you always bring it with you. The cover seems study enough for at-home use, ... show more

  • Better than Leuchtturm
I grew up a Chandlers girl so since my teenage years, I’ve never really known a life without a planner. I feel like in the last 30 Years of my life, I’ve tried just about every planner out there. Discovering bujo was just the “life hack” that every planner and journal I’ve ever had before that was missing. After several years of refining my leuchttrum preferences, I took a chance on these last year, and all I can say is that I wish I was smart enough to have found them years before. Size-wise they are perfect for my needs. I love the fact that you get waaay more pages so it’s like everything I love but on steroids. No worries that I will run out of space during the year (done that), plenty of room to take notes and document everything I need to on a day to day basis. And then some. just as sturdy of a cover as the Leuchtturm and comparable journals. These are now my go-to’s for a daily journal and so happy that I stumbled across them. If you’re bujo-ing but like Looking for something more, these are definitely worth checking out. Very happy with my purchases and looking forward to staring a new one in 2023. 😊 ... show more

  • Ideal for the way I Bullet Journal Ideal for the way I Bullet Journal
I have been bullet journaling for years- and have used a ton of different journals. For me, this one is great, here’s why. This may help some of you realize that it will (or will not) work for you. —Dot spacing is helpful for me as I dislike super wide spacing, but the dots are pale enough that when I have a write-bigger-day I can use them for linear guidance but not worry about fitting into one line. (Not well said, but that’s what I like: guidance/structure, without rigidity for my writing) — thickness of paper is good for my pens (Uniball Jet-stream, either .38 or .5, black) and color pencils (Prismacolor). I do not like to do super dark, bold writing- if you do, there might be some bleed through. This thickness means lots of pages for the size and weight, but still works great for my pens. (I cannot work with Leuchtturm’s thin pages, nor Moleskine). — smoothness of the paper- this helps me with hand fatigue as my pen glides over it beautifully. I have never had smudging (uniball jetstream= pen of choice) … I do *not* use fountain pens which apparently like paper to have more tooth. I prefer my paper tooth-free :) — I like the ivory page color, have tried stark white pages and did not care for them at all. This is obviously personal and individual. — cover is soft and flexible (and I like pink) but sturdy enough I can toss the journal in my bag and between the elastic and the reasonable sturdiness, it holds up well. (Hardcovers are sturdier, obviously, but are less flexible in a bag or my hand and thicker/heavier- all of which I prefer to avoid) — The size! A5 journals are ubiquitous; I prefer this larger format. Like someone else said, a year fits in it, plenty of room for me to get artsy if I want (usually don’t) or add expansive collections (this I do) without worrying about running out of room. I put 2 weeks on a spread, which works better for my brain, but still allows for white space (which also works better for my brain than clutter). — I am on page 70 out of 190, so I cannot address the sturdiness super long term, but so far it works great. — I added a stick-on pen loop to see if I liked it, but find I never use it- instead, hooking the pen thru the elastic and letting that hold the pen straight between the elastic and the top edge of the notebook, parallel to the pages. Over time this has become my preferred pen-holding system. (See photo) — two ribbons for marking pages. Elastic band holds it closed reasonably. — I am not creating a major literary or artistic work- I am daily journaling. This mix of compromise of paper/cover/size/portability works well for me. Maybe for you, or maybe not. All notebooks compromise something- we each have our preferences for what we need/want or are willing to let go. Which might change over time; currently this is my notebook of choice. Hope my comments help someone else decide whether or not it might work for them. ... show more

  • Quality product, good weight of peper (no bleed)
Color: Black & Brown
I used Moleskine for a long time. The price of those became restrictive, and considering I'm an analog minded person I started trying other brands. I ordered 2 of these and so far (4 weeks) they seems to be very good quality, the paper doesn't bleed (at least with a standard ballpoint), and the price is right. I'll probably order more. ... show more

  • These notebooks are absolutely the best
I am addicted to notebooks and office supplies in general. I have bought many notebooks - dotted, grid, lined, plain - you name it, I have it. I have purchased the expensive ones, as well as the $.50 notebooks. I can tell you these are one of the best ones I have used. I used multiple types of pens and pencils on these, and they do not smear, or blot. The pens glide on these papers, the quality is excellent. As far as the size - This is in between an A3 and regular size notebook. I like this because it is small enough, looks professional at work but big enough to jot down anything you want. I would suggest buying these, especially for the price. ... show more

  • The best freaking journals ever
Color: Black & Dark Green
I cannot express how much I love these journals. I used mole skins, lacceo, leuchtturms, and so many others. These journals are EVERYTHING to me. From the quality of the paper, the binding of the paper is perfect some journals you have to hard press down these just fall so effortlessly where they belong. The feel of the cover offers a clean aesthetic. It keeps me organized with the pockets in the back and the place holding ribbons. I NEVER leave reviews for things on Amazon… never. And this was the most worthy product of a review I will be buying more soon just so I have them on hand as gifts and for me! ... show more

  • Nice larger notebook for bullet journals
I like this notebook for bullet journaling. The typical smaller size for bujos never work for me because I tend to write too large. Using a journal this large means I can write naturally and not fill a page in 20 seconds. There is very little bleed-through (unless you're using Sharpies). I typically write with Pigma brush markers and Pigma Microns and there is zero bleed through. I like the dotted pages. The dots are dark enough to be useful but not so dark they are too visible. I also like that the pages are numbered. I also like that I get two journals for a very reasonable price. If you're looking for a larger journal for your bujo, give this one a go. ... show more
