Description

Our Retrospec Traverse H1 helmet is the perfect blend of versatility and protection. Our lightweight helmet includes certified ABS exterior and an EPS interior to keep you safe. 10 rectangular vents, 6 on top and 2 located in the front and back, are designed to regulate temperature by generating maximum airflow. Fresh air rushes in and pushes out stuffy, goggle fogging air to keep you cool, dry, and comfortable. This is particularly effective when pairing your Traverse helmet with Traverse goggles. The front of the helmet is designed to accommodate ski goggles and includes a clip on the back to secure them. The inside is lined with a fleece netted cap to wick away moisture and keep you warm. The removable earmuffs are warm, protective, and include a zipper pocket for headphones. This helmet includes an exceptional custom fit made possible by the adjustable dial located on the rear of the helmet. With a simple turn clockwise to tighten, and counter clockwise to loosen, this helmet is designed to fit safely and securely on any rider. The chinstrap is adjustable and has a super soft cushion to prevent chaffing. These features make Dirus one of the most safe and comfortable helmets on the market no matter your choice of active sport. Along with the removable earmuffs, you can remove the fleece netted cap, and install foam padding included with the helmet to easily convert from snow/ski to skate/bike to fit your active sports helmet needs all year round. Pretty impressive right?.

  • Great ski helmet for a 6 year old
Color: Teal Gloss Size: Small
We purchased this for our 6 year old to wear on ski team and it works great. Love the color, soft inside, fits snug and safe. Good value for the price, great color.

  • Awesome coconut container!
Color: Matte Pine Grain Size: Large
I love this helmet! My kids have been rightly giving my a hard time about not having and thus wearing a ski helmet since they've been little. Since last ski season, when I hit my head on a branch (nothing terrible...), the bell finally went off that it was time to join the helmet team. After much research, I determined this to be my best bet, and have been totally satisfied with the purchase. It's well made, warm, comfortable, light and has the unique skin I really most enjoy. Best ski purchase I've made in a long time. You have no excuse to not be wearing a helmet when skiing/snow riding--they are all that I said and also, stylish! Plus, compatible with skateboard / bike riding and skateboarding. Ride on-but with increased safety! ... show more

  • Great! But DOES NOT come with Headphone pockets!
I love the price, color, and overall design of the helmet. My brother and I order one for each of us. Mine blue, and his an aqua. Both fit fine and adjust easily. Comes with summer time pass that are easily swapped with the winter time pads and earmuffs. The earmuffs on the other hand DO NOT come with zipped pockets that can hold headphones, as previous answered by someone in the QnA section. A little disappointed by this, considering that is what convinced me to purchase these. However, I am surprising pleased with rest of helmet's build. I would highly recommend this helmet, if you not interested in the headphone aspect. Side note: If you like or want to have a beanie on underneath your helmet, I suggest going one size up. ... show more

  • Satisfied purchase- snowboarder/longboarder
I purchased this helmet because I am going to learn how to longboard and I also snowboard during the winter. I wanted a decent helmet that I could use for both sports. It fits great ( I was worried it would be too big but it’s perfect especially with it being adjustable. I got a size Large)! I have only tried it on so far to see if it fit properly. I am still waiting for my longboard to arrive to fully test it out and as it being the beginning of September, I can’t test it with my snowboard yet. I love how easily the ear covers come on and off and how the inner lining can also be removed effortlessly to be worn with or without it or to wash it. Personally I like the feel of the helmet more with the padding/inner lining , so I will probably still keep it in for longboarding and snowboarding and only remove it to wash it if it gets sweaty. Even though I debated even getting a helmet because they look silly sometimes, I decided it was worth the purchase because I’m a clutz but I still want to have fun. And from past experiences, it hard to fully enjoy something if you have to worry about a possible head injury if you make a small mistake. I know this helmet isn’t a top of the line snowboarding helmet but with what I can afford right now and still wanting to enjoy the sport as much as possible while keeping my head intact, I feel like this is a great purchase for me. I will update if needed after I have actually used the helmet in either sport, hopefully I won’t fall on my head though, but if I do, I will let y’all know if the helmet protected me, or I won’t because I’ll be dead. I have high hopes though. ... show more

  • Works great!
I've worn this helmet for 2 seasons now and plan to continue wearing it. It may not be as sleek and stylish as some of those hundreds of dollar helmets and I have no idea how the protection level compares, but this completely fits my needs of keeping my dome safe as a mostly conservative snowboarder. I have fallen many times and my head has gone back and hit the ground and I've been very happy to have this on. It's comfortable, it's warm (I love the ear covers), and the goggle strap holder has saved my goggles many many times when they've flown off the top from a fall. ... show more

  • Good quality, keeps you warm, inspires laughter.
On the suggestion of a fellow rider, I ordered this as a winter cycling helmet. I took it out for the first time today. It was 22 degrees and there was a 20mph headwind. This kept my head nice and warm with my thin balaclava worn underneath it. The quality feels pretty good for under $40.00. The only, really small complaint is that it comes with some extra foam pads and absolutely no instructions as to their use or application. I fiddled around with them and figured out where they go as optional sizing adjusters. I ended up with the one that is made for the front, but may change that as I wear it a few more times. OK, one more small complaint: upon adorning my nice new helmet, my wife started laughing to the point that she was in tears and unable to speak. I can not repeat what she said when she finally calmed down enough to speak as it isn’t politically correct at all, but I will say that the words “short bus” were used and that later in the day she texted me a picture of Dark Helmet from the movie Space Balls. What I’m getting at here is that it is a large, kind of goofy looking helmet. I really don’t care as it’s warm and protects my noggin’. ... show more

  • Good value
I'm happy with this helmet overall. It's a well built, quality unit for sure. I use it for winter cycling and it keeps my head a lot warmer than my summer cycling helmet did. It has room for a full face balaclava under the helmet and is very comfortable. It is a bit heavy and it's big and bulky. I notice others with more compact helmets that look more natural. To me, this looks like a football helmet without a facemask. I don't care, though, because I trust it to protect me if I klonk my noggin on something. I give it five stars because it's an excellent value and quality built item. Recommended. ... show more
