These leashes are only a temporary fix. They are not long lasting unless you never use the retract. I have bought this leash twice and both times the retractable spring broke both times. It was inexpensive so I didn't expect too much. It works well and I loved the little travel bowl that came with it. It's small, not sure if someone with large hands would have trouble holding it.

This is a great leash, fits my small hands perfectly, but I should’ve gotten a bigger size. This is more suitable for a Yorkie or chihuahua, my french bulldog is too powerful for this one.
