After falling in love with the REST Cooling Sheets, I figured I’d try the Cooling Comforter too. I went in skeptical (because let’s face it, everything claims to be cooling these days), but I figured if anyone could pull it off, it’d be REST. And once again—they absolutely nailed it. As a 45-year-old, 5'8", 300-pound human furnace who usually sleeps under a fan tornado and still wakes up drenched in sweat, comforters are usually off-limits for me. Even so-called “lightweight” ones trap heat like I’m being slow-roasted. But not this one! The REST Cooling Comforter somehow manages to be cozy without being heavy, and cool without being flimsy. It feels refreshing the second it touches your skin—cool to the touch, like the sheets—and it stays that way. I’m now sleeping under a comforter for the first time in years and waking up dry, comfortable, and actually rested. Imagine that! Highlights: Genuinely cool-feeling and stays that way all night. Perfect weight—light enough for breathability, but still feels like a proper comforter. Doesn’t cling or stick to you like some cheaper ones do. Pairs perfectly with the REST Cooling Sheets for the ultimate combo. I’ve actually caught myself sleeping without the fan on more than once, which is unheard of in my house. And yep, already bought a second one. Minor wish list: Just like with the sheets—I really hope REST starts making more cooling accessories. I need a REST cooling body pillow cover, blanket for the couch, maybe even undershirts . . . basically, I want to live wrapped in this material 24/7. I bought this blanket for my son last year. And he's so happy with it. And two weeks ago, I decided to gift myself this blanket. The Evercool cooling comforter really is meant for those who prefer a cool environment to sleep. This blanket really stays cool all night and the material is soft and breathable. It's thin but you feel the weight on you. I don't like polyester comforters b/c makes me warm and I'm constantly tossing and turning to find a cool spot . You DON'T need to cover the blanket but I covered it with a 100% cotton duvet to protect it from stains. But next day I took it off bc i felt the duvet lessened the cooling effect. I have not washed it yet. But once I do, I will post a review regarding durability. Definitely think the price is worth it. Told my girlfriend to buy one too!

The media could not be loaded. I was very skeptical about this blanket but I’m a believer now! My room gets extremely hot at night and with a comforter I’m constantly kicking the covers off and on. With this blanket I don’t have to do that anymore and always feel comfortable. In the photos online they almost look velvety but they are more of a nylon/polyester feel (reminds me of the feel of the outside of a puffer jacket but softer and doesn’t stick to you). When you get under it, it is very cool on your skin almost like a fan is on you. Once your body temperature warms the area your body is in, it only gets that warm inside the blanket. Then if you move to a new area it’s cool all over again. There have been a few times where I got a little too warm (because my own body was getting hot) so I expose the under side of the blanket for a minute and it’s cool all over again. It is about the thickness of a quilt and not bulky like a comforter.

Upon opening this sheet, it definitely feels incredibly soft & very cool to the touch. It really was amazing. Packaging was nice & there was no weird or bad smell upon opening. Although the sheets from the Rest brand fit my California king bed perfectly, the comforter doesn’t cover the width of the bed, while the length is too long, the width barely reaches the sides (&I’ve tried it every way possible). Unfortunately I still find myself getting hot even though the sheets really do stay cool feeling. I don’t use a flat sheet & this comforter really is buttery soft. It has stayed just as soft & cool after being washed & dried at home. The price is astronomical but I would still highly recommend it over cotton any day.

I have the comforter, bottom sheet and pillow cases. It has helped tremendously with keeping me cooler at night through hot flashes and night sweats. It’s thin and cool but has just enough weight that it feels more like a traditional comforter. It was well worth the price. Highly recommend to anyone suffering through hot flashes!!

The first couple of nights felt some difference in body temp, but nothing significant enough to for a decent nights rest. Decided to try to sleep on top of it instead because that is where I’m finding most of my heat emanates from. It doesn’t completely keep me cool throughout the night, but I have felt much more of a difference in my body heat going down and sweating is minimal. My boyfriend and I both freakishly run hot and sticky, worse when we’re right next to each other or when we spoon. But we have noticed this has helped quite a bit and have been able to actually sleep next to each other and spoon rather comfortably. The blanket is soft and cool to the touch, but will of course warm up in the area it’s touching you. If you touch a different area you’ll feel the coolness sensation again. There’s no odd smell. King size fits great.
