I had dropped my original fob so it would never close correctly, and one of the buttons had popped out. I had also broken the carrying loop off my spare. I ordered one of these casings really not expecting much. It worked like a charm. Just a bit tricky getting while assembly together… but now it is like brand new. I took the good parts for each of the damaged fobs and now have a complete spare. Highly recommend.

Best bang for your buck only if you are in a situation where you only need the plastic housing. My fob was pretty worn from a couple of bad drops and was literally held together by tape, the internals were in good condition however. The Installation difficulty depends on your experience with putting together key fobs. My old one came apart enough that I got familiar with how to put it back together, so swapping everything over was pretty simple. Just keep in mind that you might have a hard time if you have never put a key fob back together. Quality is way better than I was expecting for the price. Overall the two things to keep mind when buying this is that an OEM key can run up to, or over, $200 so considering this is around $20 makes it a steal(only if you need the plastic housing) . Secondly keep in mind that this is plastic after all so knowing the difference between putting pressure to snap the peices together and forcing it could be the difference between you having a like new key or ending up right where you started with a broken one.

Absolute garbage. Nothing works when you put the guts inside. The tolerances are so bad and so sloppy that it will not lock together. Even intermixing the original parts with the aftermarket parts was useless.

So, it does the job. I moved the electronic components over from my current fob to this one, and it fit. I moved over the silicone piece too, as others mentioned it fit better. My overall first response was, yes it fits, but the plastic feels cheap. If you tap the original fob, it kind of gives you a more solid thud, this sounds very plasticky and made of less quality material. Additionally the button presses required don't just slide and happen like on the original, this you have to push harder on to get a lock or unlock response. We shall see how long it lasts, I have seen others say it didn't last long.

On my old fab the plastic keychain loop broke. I naught this unit and took the guts out of the old unit and it fit perfectly in this one. I now have a brand new key fab. Thanks
