Ok so I took a shot and ordered the battery even though there were some mixed reviews. I am a real person reviewing this through my experience. My daughters love to drive their car around (Power Wheels Dune Racer). I have 2 acres with a couple little hills so their original Power Wheels battery would last 45mins to 1 1/2 hrs. I wanted another battery to extend their driving time. When I first received the battery I noticed how much smaller it was and was skeptical that it would perform. I would say that it doesn’t last as long as the the original battery but it is pretty close. Without actually having my daughter just drive in the same spot to compare the two, I can’t definitely say which one is better. She often drives up and down the hill and in reverse so it kills the batteries faster (20-45mins) but if she drives on the flat part of the yard, they both last around 1hr (fast speed setting). I have experienced it blowing a fuse like some of the other reviewers stated but it was user error not the battery in itself. My daughter drove into deep weeds and continued to try and drive out of there before I realized what she was doing, she tripped the fuse. She has been stuck numerous times, drives up and down the hills, and drives through mud puddles and the fuse is fine. I would recommend to the battery to those looking for an extra battery or want a cheap one just for occasional use. When my daughters kill one battery, I just put one on the charger and put the other one in. The only thing I would recommend would be to buy a better charger that has a float mode so that you don’t overcharge the batteries. The cheap ones that come with the Power Wheels will kill your battery if you leave them plugged in for too long. My daughters go days without driving their car and I was sick of going out to the garage to unplug the batteries. Now I have to float style chargers that charge the batteries and have light indicators to tell me when they are fully charged.

My kids have been using this replacement battery for a couple weeks now. It goes in a 2 seater mustang. Total kid weight is 95 pounds and this battery has not blown a fuse yet or had any issues. It is visibly about half the size of the original, but it doesn't seem to impact power or battery life before needing recharge. The car has a 2.5 mph speed setting and a 5 mph speed setting and the battery is fine running on high speed with both of them in the car. They use it in the yard with some slight inclines and on the street during walks which has the battery running for about 30 minutes straight to make it back home. One thing I don't understand about these batteries is why they don't provide smart chargers with them. I believe that most battery damage or issues come from over-charging or under-charging the battery and using them anyway. Generally people don't want to either wait the estimated time of about 12 hours or they plug it in and forget about it charging it for a couple days. Any reviews stating the battery started smoking, don't charge inside house.. that's likely due to overcharging. Honestly, just do yourself a favor and get a $10 multi meter. They are super handy anyway. I test all batteries using a multi meter; button batteries, AA, AAA, C, D, car batteries.. you name it. That way you don't overcharge rechargeable batteries and don't throw away small batteries that might be good when just one of the batteries in a multi battery device is dead. If using a multi meter, measure the voltage after the initial 24 hour charge. Write down the measured voltage if needed, that will be your target voltage every time you recharge. This small battery held about 13 volts for me. So depending how much use the battery has gotten, guestimate your charge time. Not every play session will drain a battery 100%, so a full recharge may only take 4 hours instead of 12, hence the common overcharging issues. Use the multi meter to measure the voltage of the battery across the positive and negative leads. Measure the voltage with the charger unplugged from the wall. Doesn't need to be unplugged from the battery, just the wall. At the target voltage stop charging the battery just like a smart charger would. The battery will last much longer and you will start to get a pretty good idea of how long the battery needs to be charged after each use. Currently the connectors seem very sturdy and secure. I'd guess a long time before they wear out and break. Once you put the connectors on, there is no need to take them off so don't do that. Its likely that constantly connecting and disconnecting the connectors would cause failure pretty quick. Also, as I said, no fuses have blown yet and the battery has been used and charged about 5 times now. But fuses and connectors are cheap to replace if they are damaged at any point - under $5 from auto parts store, maybe even less on Amazon. It's so hard to determine on Amazon if a product is good or not when there is no product without some negative reviews. So we are left guessing was a negative review due to user error or does the product truly have problems? Currently, I highly recommend this replacement battery. Keep it in perspective that it is half the cost of a genuine power wheels battery, so you shouldn't really expect the quality, performance, or ease of use. But this knock off does a nice job of being a replacement if used properly. Lastly, I will provide updates only if I start having any issues with the battery. So if no update, then the battery is still running great!

Powers my grandsons jeep perfectly! And the thing doesn’t weigh 20 pounds like the old one. I’m so glad to have found this replacement! PW wanted double for the battery alone. Good deal for replacement 12v!

We bought two of these from what we thought was the same seller but this one is much smaller than the other and therefore has a shorter battery life. It also had the fuse thing for the adapter. It's good if you don't want to blow your battery, but the fuses blow constantly. It came with 3. I used those with in two days. I ordered more fuses in different "sizes" from 10 (too low) - 45. I found the larger the number the longer it lasted. I think the faster the kids would go fast the fuse was more likely to blow. That's just a theory. It was much cheaper than the Fisher-Price battery so all these details are ok. Remember you'll need a charger and fuses if you plan to buy this.

Horrible! The cables are so unsteady! It’s the worst battery. Do not buy this. We bought two and they both are like delicate glasses the cables are so unsteady. We’ve had others and never had this problem.

Battery works. Bought this for a power wheels jeep that was in the trash on the side of the road (which had no battery). My toddler now loves the jeep which this battery brought life to! Also about half the cost of the name brand battery!

Great replacement battery for the power wheels car. Only feedback is the battery is small, and we used tape to hold the wires together so they don’t go flying all over the place. Charged for the initial 18 hours per instructions and this battery is held up. Talk about quality 💯💯💯
