  • Needs a better FOV for 5 stars
Color: White
The poor field of view is the ONLY thing I can really complain about with these. I paired four of these to a Reolink RLN8-410 NVR without any issues. I am replacing a cheap Chinese system I had, which replaced an older cheap Chinese one I had, and repeat and repeat. I was tired of the issues with useless programs like Eseecloud for the phone and computer. We use Reolink at the office, never had an issue, so I finally decided to get something quality now that they have some decent wireless cameras. All four were configured quickly and easily, and went up on all four locations on the exterior of my house. They use the same barrel connectors for power that all the others do so I simply had to unscrew the old and screw these in place and plug them in. Less than 5 minutes at each point. The NVR found them without issue. Again, field of view - I lose some with these, so I don't see as much as I did with the ones this replaced. But other than that, everything else is simply outstanding. The other ones I had were 2k cameras, these look better. Picture quality is great. Crisp and clear. Microphones pick up the sounds outside just fine. Whether I'm using the Reolink IOS app on my phone or iPad, or the windows app on my Surface Pro 9, everything is there and accessible. Customization is easy. The settings for detection are granular enough that I can tweak each one JUST how I want it. And so far the human detection is working great, I'm getting my notifications for people, not for trees moving, leaves blowing, other things that many systems false alarm on. For the price, these are definitely worth it. Had they been able to tweak another 20 or 30 degrees of view though, they'd be perfect. ... show more

  • Reolink is close on this one-not perfect.
Color: White
I use Blue iris for the IP cameras-I have a mix of wireless and wired IP cameras. Those camera range from $400 dollars down to $14!!? I am always on the look out for new styles and function-I guess i am a hobbyist. - I had slightly above average expectation for it-Reolink own several and like its "4MP super HD!!" Model # RLC-410W that is the model list on camera- the label on the box RLC-410W NOW the Am*zon sticker on box Is "REOLINK 4mp 1440P Comes with SD Card New" Well this Unit Does NOT come with an SD card?!? So whats up did I get shorted ? NO SD CARD?!?! The camera came in a nice box, protection was "good" -The unit came with "reolink" manuals, NO SOFTWARE DISC- but the normal QR code link and link to reolink. The instructions were nicely written -first time user should not have issues. I already had the reolink app on my PC so the setup was easy for me. Power Brick - yes it SUPPOSED to come with a power brick, the brick was missing from my box?!! I did have a spare one so I continued with setup and testing. The missing brick was my first annoyance !?!! I was happy that they did include an extension to lengthen the cord on the power Brick!?!! That was a nice surprise-I never had a oem do that!?!!! I checked the seller listing to make sure the brick is included -and yes it is!?!!. The picture shows the standard Indoor rated power brick !! Really another "outdoor" camera with an inside power Plug!?!! My 2nd "annoyance" was the lack of "lan port" cover, which again is pretty standard -this was missing also-well sort of?!? Yes it was NOT in box ,after I sent a couple of emails to customer service- I was told "we no longer supply it, we told the manufacture not to provide it" -WOW!! REALLY!?!! This is NOT a custom made piece at all!! what could that saved them less then a penny?!?!! -Here is an idea to save pennies-stop including the worthless "screw pack!?!!" that never fits the holes!.. Then customer service told me "yes you will need to cover the lan port with Plastic to protect from water!?!!" Customer service was nice and professional and at first didn't understood the "lan port cover" and asked me to "re-explain" and look at "the picture on the listing to see what comes with unit" and Yes, the picture does NOT show the "lan cover"!?!! So you know water can be an issue on this part and chose ignore this-.....mmm ok?!?? The Power brick customer service informed me that "they had no stock" which yes they are just drop shippers- they asked for me to buy one and the would send credit?!! They have access to amazon also?!!! ok I will buy the $9 power brick and send them the invoice!?!! I wonder if they will pay for the truly "outdoor rated" one. https://www.amazon.com/Business-Grade-Camera-Power-Supply/dp/B075GJHGXB/ref=pd_cp_23_1?pd_rd_w=oSrkJ&pf_rd_p=ef4dc990-a9ca-4945-ae0b-f8d549198ed6&pf_rd_r=S1RVFC2F8VZHNS3NEWBV&pd_rd_r=67f15e1b-168a-11e9-a181-ad3239af0918&pd_rd_wg=ol6z7&pd_rd_i=B075GJHGXB&psc=1&refRID=S1RVFC2F8VZHNS3NEWBV Setup- I use the blue iris software . They included a better than average manual for setup. They do a very good job explaining the setup and the needed applications to download. The camera DOES have a standard GUI that can be accessed thru chrome. I used different setup procedures than most but the first time user should NOT have too many issues with the basic setup. Blue iris DOES list the camera "Generic/ONVIF" .-So if you run the BI "auto setup"- you should be close- you will need to change the camera model to "reolink" and reselect the model #. So Blue iris read the oem as A IPC camera off the chipset- so you may have to play with the setup a bit for a stable camera. Picture quality- "Good" the frame rate runs @15fps default . Picture quality seem to be okay -around 2560x1440 -focus is "good" slighly "soft". The picture is darker then others "out of box" but can be adjusted in software.-for the unit cost verse picture quality- Good value. Fit and Finish- camera housing is a metal ,acceptable quality fit is reasonable.-The screw mounting holes are NOT "offset" from the body of the camera so using a power drill may be a slight challenge. The design of these "bullet type" camera all have issue on antenna placement and camera pointing limits. This one is especially limited due to the fact it has 2 antennas!?!!! The Camera body hits the antennas anything more then an 30 degree angle!?!! Up and Down is not an issue, it is the "left and right" that gets tricky!?..... Most of my application is NOT "straight out" . The rest of the base uses and allen/hex key (provided) . The base works well. Reolink does provide a small screw driver to access the mount and SD slot- once again "thank you" nice feature. The Night vision -normal "black and white"...I would consider it as "fair/decent for the money". The IR LEDS does a slight glare back into the lens-once again this is nature of the design-they are both "housed" under the same glass lens. The better designs have the IR LED separate from the lens. Wifi range - So one of the selling feature (for me) was the 5Ghz radio. So by nature 5Ghz has less distance ,which requires a better /stronger transmitter and receiver to compensate. It seem it this unit that is NOT the Case!?! 5ghz band is NOT useable beyond 10ft - the standard 2.4ghz is still slightly weaker than "average units" but functional. The range for 5GHz is NOT acceptable on this "outdoor" camera. The 2.4ghz is just "ok" somewhat acceptable. I currently gave it 2 stars - which means "Its ok" according to Amazon, This is about right!?? Until the missing power brick is resolved 2 stars is the best. The Unit Does have an external wifi antennas on it- does seem to help with range much. The unit does have the standard ethernet port , BUT the port DID NOT come with normal "port cover" - so the end is exposed to the elements-NOT WATERPROOF!?!! The wifi range -Still usable but lower FPS at certain distances as a result. Summary- So I purchased the "Reolink RLC-410W 4MP 1440P Wireless Outdoor" waterproof camera and it seems "corners were cut" to increase profits on this one. The wifi radio is NOT READY for the 5ghz band. This is the nature of the "game" for this product other units of this type!?!? The focus could be better- The inside power brick is missing from my box.......but it looks like(from picture) the provide on is a "low quality indoor one-non UL listed"!?!! Missing ethernet water cover. Who knows about durability of this unit? I would purchase a second unit to "gamble on" for $30-45 dollars!??! But NOT this One for $59-$69!?! ... show more

  • Reolink is a decent platform for your video surveillance
Color: White
This is another Reolink camera we got to monitor our place. We chose Reolink based on price and performance, I maintained several video systems from different vendors for other clients and I chose Reolink for our farm. We monitor stuff on our 16 acre farm using WiFi with mesh and repeaters. These units do the job with excellent video clarity, no stutter or drop-out. The non-battery cameras (like this one) support FTP video transfer and you don't need a proprietary account. Save to your hard drive. Their battery powered ones (like the Argus 3) don't have an embedded IP server due to power issues, so you depend on the microSD card or subscribe to Reolink for monitoring. But that's not the issue here. This unit's twin works flawlessly 164' from a WiFi access point. We're expanding coverage with this RLC-410W, which does require AC power which we have in a barn. We'll add a 64 GB microSD card just because they are inexpensive and capture enough so we don't have to continuously check video storage. There are other brands, Do your research and pick ONE, DON'T MIX AND MATCH. We chose Reolink. ... show more

  • I can view it next to my PoE NVR cameras on the app
Color: Black
I have this camera pointed down the alley at my other house, and it works great! I can even read license plate numbers from a distance. When the lights are on, it gives me a color image at night. I already have a 4 camera reolink PoE NVR system at my main property, and I was able to add this wireless camera as a 5th camera on my app, even though it's hundreds of miles away! And I can download video to my phone from the SD card, or even record live video to my phone. This was an awesome expense. So worth it! ... show more

  • YOU MUST install an SD/card before it will work! Seriously! Great camera manual needs help.
Color: Black
Once i added the SD/card the unit powered up and a quick setup made it work perfectly. All the functions are there as advertised. I did have a small problem setting the ip address while using the camera but i figured it out. There should be a trouble shooting section in the book what's there is "check the power if it dosent work" Very brief! ... show more
