Features

  • Smart Human/Vehicle Detection: By analyzing human and vehicle shapes on board, the PoE camera can accurately detect humans and vehicles before sending real-time alerts, which greatly reduces false alarms and triggers. No more mind distraction, only receive alarms that matter and enjoy the true peace of mind.
  • 4K Ultra HD with 3X Optical Zoom: The home security camera jumps from 5MP to 4K Ultra HD. It is 1.6X clearer than 5MP and 4X clearer than 1080p. Details you see around home or store will be reproduced perfectly in live streaming and playback. 3X optical zoom helps to zoom in for detailed images without image impairment and zoom out for wide-angle viewing.
  • Multiple Recording Options: The PoE camera supports recording 24/7 continuously during the scheduled time or when motion is detected. Videos can be saved in the micro SD card (up to 256GB, NOT included), Reolink NVR, or FTP server.
  • Easy PoE Installation: Thanks to the power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, this outdoor camera can transmit videos and get power simultaneously via only one network cable. Easy plug-and-play for a reliable connection
  • Real-Time Smart Alerts: Whenever a real danger is detected, this surveillance camera will be triggered alerts by sending real-time push notifications or alert emails to your device. You can watch the live feed, be informed of the emergency, replay key moments - all can be done on Reolink App or Client anytime and anywhere.

  • Happy with it for the $80 deal price
The media could not be loaded. The sunny daytime footage is very clear. The fps is fine enough. Depending on the angle and light, license plates can be read from about 40 ft away. The camera does a much better job capturing still objects. Moving objects can get a little blurring depending on the light as a result of the camera's post processing (it can't be changed) For nighttime, while the IR night mode is great I wouldn't personally rely on it for descriptions of people or cars (because it's B&W and the IR lights will block any license plates from being read). I would recommend pairing the camera with a motion sensing spotlight instead, as areas that are too dark will flat out obscure moving objects due to the camera's post processing (no it can't be changed). The audio is good. You can hear cars down the block as well as planes overhead, you can understand people talking from about 20 ft away. Words become muddled at about 40 feet away. I do think it has somewhat of a white noise problem (again, can't be tweaked. they should really update the app for that). The human and vehicle detection is rather good. It can discern a person on a bike and someone walking across the street. Car detection hasn't missed a single one driving by. I haven't had other cameras before, but I'm happy with them. ... show more

  • Mounting instruction need to be a bit more clear
The mounting plate has tabs that are too short. They do not make contact with the locking protrusions in the base of the camera. So, the camera never locks into the mounting plate and easily falls off with a slight anti clockwise turn while adjusting the camera view angle. This could be a design flaw, or more likely a manufacturing flaw. I am waiting to hear back from ReoLink support. Reolink got back to me and suggested that I rotate the camera seating right firmly. I was afraid of putting too much pressure on it, but once I did rotate firmly, the camera clicked in place and locked firmly into the mounting plate. Maybe they should put the phrase "rotate firmly" in the instructions. I changed the Star Rating to 5. Update: If you are going to use it with any non-Reolink NVR, you will need to access the webpage of the camera and switch on ONVIF (if that is the protocol you will be using). Neither the iOS app, nor the Mac app of Reolink presents you with the option to enable it. I have heard anecdotally that upgrading to a particular new firmware for the camera switches off ONVIF for some reason. You will need to turn it on again. ... show more

  • Good picture, but misleading product. This camera does not pan or tilt remotely.
Bought this camera on sale for the optical zoom, and my incorrect assumption that this had the capability to pan and tilt remotely. The picture quality from this camera is pretty good and I will probably still keep it, but I will have to put it in a different location where I don't need the ability to rotate it remotely. That's because when I bought this I assumed (as it appears a few others have) that this camera was able to be controlled for pan and tilt from your phone/computer. That is not true at all. When I got it I was looking at it and realized that there was nothing to move the camera around. I contacted customer service to make sure I wasn't just not seeing something, but they confirmed that this camera is only able to be MANUALLY moved to where you want it to see. This is admittedly my fault for not confirming before buying it, but I feel there is some partial blame on reolink for designing this camera to look exactly like many other models that are able to be controlled and moved remotely. The biggest issue this creates is when you use the zoom function the camera will just zoom in on the center of wherever you have it set to look, so if you wanted to zoom in on the edges of the screen you wouldn't be able to with the optical zoom feature. Again my fault for not confirming, but I still feel very mislead that it is not stated anywhere on the product information page that despite looking exactly like a camera that has pan/tilt, this one does not. ... show more

  • Not what you will expect
At first glance, Reolink appeared to have a great solution with superior features and great quality gear. That's where it stopped. Here are the comments provided to Reolink upon returning all their gear: 1. First and foremost, I don’t have time to spend tinkering with your support work-arounds for every little function which is stated as part of the system … UNACCETPABLE! I have a full time job that consumes 10 to 14 hours of my day. 2. From what I’ve found, your reference material is scattered, unorganized and incomplete in most cases. Thus the continued support work-arounds … UNACCETPABLE to wait 24 hours for your team to respond only during CN time zone. 3. The functions within the older Client App 7.x version are NOT in the newer 8.x version period. This seriously degrades your system solution to a mere IoT toy and not a serious security system which is presented … UNACCETPABLE! 4. Camera Volume is turned up on all places, turned on in the admin settings as stated in the blog, not in operational material and yet no sound on ANY client app. Audio only to the main console is UNACCEPTABLE! There was a reference which indicated I may have to log into the camera itself to get audio – again UNACCETPABLE! 5. Access to the SD Cards installed in each of the 16 cameras was not found ANY WHERE on your site. In our one conversation, it was implied that I would need to create an FTP login to the camera to access … UNACCETPABLE! 6. Each of these functions / features should be baked into your client application for all platforms to enable the customer to access at their pace and device. This can be simple facilitated by offering two switchable on-the-fly App modes, where one is the simply the camera view only with minimal controls based on camera. Second would be the EXPERT mode which provides more in dept details to manage the camera settings. The both mode should be aligned with an Admin account and the, the simple view align with General User account. This is NOT the case….ADMIN login via client app offers no real difference to GENERAL user account. On the positive side, I found Reolink equipment to be of high quality and if the presumed functionality was fully available at EVERY client, it would exceed all competitors as I initially thought based on the information provided. Its very sad that what you say you provide and what you actually provide are not aligned. Had they been, we wouldn’t have had any issues. Currently your engineering capability to build the devices has far exceeded your business operations capability to sustain this level of quality in software, documentation and overall global support. I will add that their support team is very pleasant and want to help. Its a shame, as I had high hopes. ... show more
