  • Best purchase
One thing is the wheels squeak a ton, the little back wheels. Other than that, this is the best cart I’ve ever had and use daily for work. It is hard to fold though, takes practice

  • Planned obsolescence? The aluminum rods bend under normal use.
I've owned at least five of these over the course of about 20 years. They are made of heavy-duty, quality parts, with the crucial exception of the extendable rods that are made of thin aluminum. With normal use, these bend over time, and the stand will no longer be able to close. Forget about using this on stairways, ever, instant damage. And repair requires you to ship the base to them. Not worth it. So every few years, you buy a new one so that you're able to close it. Why do I do it? Weirdly, it's the only luggage cart of its kind I'm aware of on the market. There is no competition. I don't know why. And I need it for my work (I'm a drummer). But it's unnecessarily expensive. Planned obsolescence, as an economic concept, at least in principle, is a myth. That's not how the market works. But, in this instance, they could easily make the rods out of sturdy chrome, like the rest of the unit. But they don't. And since no one steps up to make a competing product, I think it applies. Many people have to replace this with unnecessary frequency, like me. Very frustrating. ... show more

  • Make sure you get what you ordered... I didn’t
I’ve used this model kart pushing tv lighting gear for 30 years.. they last me about 5 years until I overload it and warp the the steel. One problem. Ordered the 800 model and they sent me the 750 model which is smaller. I didn’t didn’t catch the mistake until after I used it. It’s a smaller unit so I had to order another. So now I have a 750 and 800 model ... show more

  • Kart-A-Bag Tri-Kart 800
Recently I wrote a review for the Veto Pro Pac XLT Laptop-Tool Bag. In that review I suggested a cart. The cart I use is the Kart-A-Bag Tri-Kart 800. This cart ran me a little over $200. In the past I would buy $40-$50 carts that would only last about a year. So I decided to splurge. This cart is well worth the money, very sturdy very well-built. I've had this cart for about a year and a half. The reason I gave it four instead of five stars is because of a not too common incident. One of the small wheels got caught in the groove of a train track, and snapped in half. Granted I was going at a very quick pace to beat the light. So I went down to the local hardware store and bought some wheels that had a steel hub and replaced the smaller wheels. If this cart ever wears out I will deftly by another. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask or post. ... show more

  • but I have not found a better cart to carry my stuff
This is my fourth purchase of a Remin Tri-Cart. I killed a few of them before going for the heavy-duty version, and even one of those, rated for 300 pounds, broke down under the loads carried that were much less than 300 pounds. These carts (especially the wheels and the extension handle) wear out under heavy loads, but I have not found a better cart to carry my stuff, and will continue to buy and replace them, as needed. Remin is an American company, and has repair service available for their carts, which is good, but the shipping costs back and forth to their factory, along with their stated repair costs are ridiculous. Toss the old cart, or hold on to it for parts, and buy a new one, as needed. ... show more

  • This cart is a Work Horse
I have owned one of these since the late '80s but put it through hell having used it to move HEAVY stuff in several households. It finally started showing its age enough to replace it with a new one. The newer one is easier to collapse, an improvement. Other than that this little cart is still a sturdy-dude. ... show more

  • Handy! Sturdy! We use it for hauling everything.
The last one I bought my husband lasted about 34 years. We are hopeful this one will be as sturdy. Use to transport luggage, boxes when moving, groceries in boxes, landscaping buckets, clothes, whatever. Versatile, sturdy, folds up into a compact item. Glad we found it again. Same make, same model.

  • Great even in NYC
Holds my video gear case that ways over 100lbs. It’s a back saver and I haul it around NYC sidewalk cracks, bumps etc I’m done being fatigued before even getting to the job. Invest in yourself and your sanity with this!
