On the left is the old version of this watch that I've had for many years. You can see the difference in color. This new one is WAY darker red. I prefer the old one obviously. But this watch is solid and buying it used from Amazon warehouse for $35 is a great deal.

My initial impression of the watch is good. The look and styling is appealing and it feels solid for an everyday watch. My one disappointment with the watch is that there is no band adjustments at all beyond the full links. I took the watch to a jeweler to have it adjusted for size and my wrist size falls right in between a link length. The links are about 1/2" which is a fairly large distance when trying to fit for comfort ... either too loose or too tight. My previous metal band watches have all had a 1/2 link and / or extra holes in the clasp for fine adjustments. Not sure why Relic / Fossil wouldn't put those in their clasps as the manufacturing cost to do so would be minuscule. I shot off an email to Relic customer service to see if they have a solution but not surprisingly, no response. ... show more

    • lasted less than 3 months
My first complaint with this product was that the numbers and hands are very low contrast --- it is very challenging to see the hands except in the brightest of light. The numbers you know, but the hands, you need to be able to see. Second issue is that the watch formed condensation inside the crystal after about 2 months. My experience with Fossil is that they last 3 years --- 2 months not acceptable ---- and the return window for the product was only 30 days --- so it was in my view defective and it left me stuck. ... show more
