Preface: As any Amazon user knows, the Amazon search filter, by design, favors extra product inclusion over finding exactly what you want. I mean on Craigslist, for instance, if I specify a rental size of 2000 to 25000 square feet, that is exactly what I get! So, obviously the technology is there. I mention this because I was working with a confined space and needed shelving of a pretty particular size. By the time I found this product,I was pretty tired of looking. Besides size, I wanted good strength, adjustable shelves, reasonable ease of assembly, good ratings and and a reasonable price. You will be happy to know that I give this product a FULL 10 on all these criteria. And I am not a pushover customer. But in my fatigue, I kind of forgot that my installation was going to be in a small greenhose, not indoors. The solid metal shelves do not let sun or water through. But these metal shelves also just drop into a frame an are only secured by gravity. So all the manufacturer has to do is make an option for heavy wire shelves (attached to a metal frame) instead of solid shelves and boom! it also works great outdoors! The wire shelves will also retain less heat and provide more aeration when needed. Just an idea. If your installation is inside, go for it. As for me, I was lucky to have at least two wire shelves of just about the right size on hand from another garden project. ... show more

I love these shelves. Easy assembly, and they’re plenty sturdy enough for basic things to store. My son assembled these Shelves for me in a matter of minutes. I’m using them for storage in my basement for things that I don’t have room for up here. For example, spices that I don’t use very often from the kitchen, extra paper, products, extra casserole dishes etc. They of course are sturdy enough to hold much heavier things but that’s what I’m using it for. I like that the shelves are very sturdy. The directions says that it will take you 5 or 10 minutes (Not)! It took me 1 hour and I couldn’t get it up. So I threw in the towel and let my parents put it together for me. They said after putting together and taking it apart, it took them about 4 hours. You will notice white zip ties on it. But since my dad put it together, we’ll you gotta let men do it there way (right ladies). Anyway I’m still trying to get my everything together organized and may be I have more pictures to share soon, ... show more

I could not assemble by myself. I had to get someone to help me. The plastic attachment for connecting two levels of shelves seem flimsy. They are needed if you want one taller shelf versus two shorter shelves.

The shelves are fairly easy to assemble. They're much like others. I was a bit disappointed in the size compared to the price. Others have commented that they're not heavy duty and I have to agree. The shelf itself is a flimsy metal, however there does seem to be a strip of stronger support. I planned on putting some heavier things, but now I'm second guessing what to use these for. All in all, I wish I had purchased some heavy duty plastic ones that are bigger and cost less. Just feels like I overpaid for what I got. Not horrible, but could find better deals. I am very disappointed with the quality of the shelving unit, the top 2 - shelves are supported by plastic couplings. Keep in mind, per their specs, each shelve will support 200 pounds each. After 20 min of assembly I decided to stop and repack the shelving for return to the vender. Per my request, amazon emailed a return label to me return at my Expense. So after carting this 40 plus pound box around to a UPS shipping center I am told that their label address can’t be found and the cost would be $65.00, which is half the cost of the shelving. Do yourself a favor, don’t do business with any vendor that will not pay for return shipping!!! ... show more
