This is a wonderful dress for an excellent price. I’m going to be wearing it to a garden picnic that somehow got turned into a dress up event! The fabric is soft and sturdy, but the white is a bit see through. Nothing terrible, but you may want some kind of long slip. The arms were not too tight at all. They have elastic around them. For reference, I am 5’9, size 14, about 205 pounds, and 38D chest, wide hips. I ordered an XL and an XXL. I wasn’t sure if they would be Asian sizes. I have included two pics. The first is the XL. It totally fits in all places...but it was a bit short for my liking. The XXL was a bigger up top, but it had more fabric and was longer. I decided to keep the XXL because of the extra material and length. The top is a bit big, but I can pin it. If you are 5’8 or shorter, the length shouldn’t be an issue. Very cute. I bought this dress to wear to the 20th anniversary screening of Pride and Prejudice. It was a last minute backup (thanks prime shipping) that I adored more than I thought I would! Pros: - The color is quite nice. Definitely olive green as pictured - The material is lightweight but not see thru. You can’t even tell I’m wearing black leggings underneath - The silhouette of this dress is very flattering - The versatility - you can dress it down or up with gloves and jewelry - The button closure in the back - no crappy/broken zippers and makes it feel more period accurate Cons: - The sizing, especially in the chest area. My usual size is Small or Medium. I got a Small and honesty I could’ve used an Extra Small option. I could easily step into the dress with the buttons closed. The bust was too big; the shoulders and neckline kept slipping - The packaging. The dress comes vacuum formed, sitting like that for who knows how long. I had to steam this dress THREE TIMES. Yes you can wear it out of the bag, but it will be super wrinkly - The ribbon is not as thick as the picture and is also a bit wrinkled. I did like the ribbon color though For reference I’m 4’11 and this dress could use a hem, but I wasn’t tripping over the skirt. If you can do some light alterations on this dress, especially for the sizing issue, go for it. Overall I give this dress 4/5 stars. The packaging is not really the fault of the dress, LOL. I saw someone use dye for the white version of this dress and I may just do that for a fun DIY project. ... show more

This Regency Dresses for Women gown, with the satin sash and puff sleeves, unfortunately didn’t work for me. The cut felt a bit strange — it fit well in the waist and hips, but the bust area was off and didn’t sit right. Because of the fit issues, I didn’t end up keeping it. Perfect outfit for a school project. My granddaughter as Dolly Madison, and she looked adorable in this dress. We added long white gloves to complete the look. I did have to adjust the top as it was too loose, I have a sewing machine so was able to do that. The length was perfect

This dress definitely had a strong smell when I first unwrapped it, and was very wrinkled. The wrinkles came out quickly with the use of a handheld steamer, and the smell also disappeared quickly. Honestly, great value for the price. This dress is comfortable and cute, albeit a bit plain and simple.

Do not believe the size chart! The chart says xxl is equivalent to US 20 to 22, but the label in the dress says EU 46 and US 14! The fabric is a beautiful dark red, and has a silky feel. The elastic under the bust stretches to fit. The dress is easy to pull overhead. The color shown in the pic is inaccurate, it is much deeper red. ... show more
