If you have a friend who loves Cribbage, this makes a very nice gift. The board quality is superb. It contains two compartments where you can store decks of cards (it comes with one deck - the other compartment contains the felt bag used to store the board). The deck of cards is good - they are Monaco Elite cards also sold separately on Amazon. They are plastic cards and waterproof. I personally like the way Bicycle cards feel better, but these will definitely be more durable. They have a good feel to them, but plastic cards do feel different from regular Bicycle cards. The pegs are metal (three colors) and have a nice feel to them. They store nicely in their drawer. Overall this is excellent quality. The only possible drawback is the price. At $50 as I write this, it is definitely on the high end of what cribbage boards cost - but this has a lot more than most of those - the quality is higher, it has spaces for cards, a drawer for the pegs, etc. An ideal gift for the Cribbage fan.

This cribbage board would make a wonderful gift for someone who enjoys the game. It’s beautifully made, and very high-quality. It has a hidden drawer for the pegs. It’s definitely one of the nicer cribbage boards that I’ve seen.

I enjoy a game of cribbage and had just a simple travel board with cheap plastic pegs to play. I recently taught my son how to play and as I might be playing more often I thought it was time to upgrade the board to something a little nicer. This board is a significant jump in quality. The overall board sits about an inch an a half thick as it offers storage of a deck of cards, a storage pouch, and all the pegs. There are sliding doors on the side for the storage and a little pull out drawer for the pegs. The pegs are all nice quality and come in gold, silver, and copper color and feel to be actual metal which is nice. The board is real wood with a pine track that contrasts nicely against the darker stained wood of the rest of the board. The full set is very nice and comes with everything you need to play. I expect this to be our go to board for some time as my son and I battle it out game after game.

Overall, this is a great board and would recommend it to anyone looking to buy it. However, it is fairly expensive for a cribbage board and doesn't offer so much more than other boards at a much lower price-point. That being said, I did love a few features: - The elevated board has a nice feel to it (and allows for built-in storage) - The magnetic drawer is awesome - so you don't have to worry about it continually opening up when moving it around - The metal pegs are high end If you are in search of a new board or would like to give someone a nice gift - this definitely meets the mark. But if getting a value-buy is important, there may be better products for you.

I love this set. Cribbage is a fabulous card game and this set adds an elegance to playing. It begins with a three lane game instead of the more traditional two lanes. If you've never played cribbage, or cribbage with three people, it's pretty nice to have an extra lane so there is no odd man out. The tri-lane set up then follows the course with three streets and a turn between each of the streets. The lanes are set in a beautiful dark book box. I believe the lanes are plastic. You never lose your pegs because they are housed in a drawer on the side. There are three sets of three pegs each. They are made of metal that look to be silver, bronze and gold. There are two secret slide outs in the box. On the right side it houses a luxurious red bag. The left side houses a very beautiful deck of cards. It's perfectly smooth on the fronts and has a rough back which I haven't felt in years. That's neither good nor bad. There is nothing about the set that isn't fabulous. It would make an awesome gift. Absolutely 5 stars.

This is a really nice cribbage set. The wood is smooth and the doors hold the velvet bag and the cards and it has magnets to keep the doors from sliding open on accident. The drawer holds the little metal pegs. The bottom has a fuzzy surface to keep from scratching your table or wherever you play. Definitely a nice set and will last a long time. Highly recommend it.
