I bought these in October because I needed one pair of shoes that could handle boxing, jump rope, lifting, running, and regular gym workouts. I’ve worn them consistently since then, and they’ve held up better than I expected. They’re comfortable enough for longer training sessions, but the sole is still firm and stable when I’m lifting or moving side to side. The size fit me as expected, and my feet stay secure without feeling squeezed. The materials feel high quality, the grip is still solid, and I haven’t had any issues with the sole separating or the shoe losing its shape. The black color also still looks good even after months of use. For how versatile and durable they’ve been, I’d say they’re definitely worth the money. ... show more

    • Great cross trainer! Better than expected on the treadmill. True to size.

Upgraded to the Nanos from Ultraboosts for cross training. Even though the UB's aren't cross trainers they were fine for a while, but recently they started feeling especially unstable during strength and lifting exercises. The Nano X5 are a massive improvement: super stable for single leg exercises and lateral movements, but surprisingly comfortable on the treadmill too. The insole has enough cushion that your foot kind of settles into it, but the sole itself is flat and firm which gives you a solid base. Best of both worlds for interval-based classes like Orangetheory, Barry's, F45, etc. Sizing note: I'm normally a 10.5 but ordered an 11 based on reviews warning about a narrow fit. The 11s felt overall too big, most notably with heel slippage, so I exchanged for my true size 10.5. The toe box is very slightly narrow but unlikely to be a problem for most feet - and sizing up to compensate would just result in a poor overall fit. There was still some minor heel slippage with the 10.5, but I could tell it was the type that's common to new sneakers and predictably went away after a few sessions. If that concerns you at all, check out the X5 Edge which specifically addressed this. Otherwise, I'd say grab a pair of these in your normal size for cross training and you'll thank yourself later! ... show more

These are fine. Very stable when doing agility drills, unlike my running shoes, which don't handle side loads very well. Comfort is mediocre, not nearly as comfortable as running shoes, but maybe they can't be given their purpose I'll note that the color "retro red" isn't nearly as red as the image suggests; it's more maroon. Not what I wanted, but not enough of an issue to return them. I ordered my normal size and they fit fine, so I don't agree with reviews suggesting ordering something different. I don't really care for the flat shoe laces: they feel flimsy and I'm not sure the eyelets will accommodate anything more substantial. ... show more

Great workout shoes. I was using running shoes to do HIIT workouts and lift weights. It was hard to maintain stability. With these Reebok Nano X5 I can feel the big difference in stability, the HIIT workouts are easier to do with these shoes.

Went in search of a pair of cross trainers that could cover several bases - HIIT sessions, lifting (except squats, I wear lift shoes for those because I need the taller heel). I have some difficulty finding the right shoes due to flat feet. The Reebok Nanos were the answer. Comfortable, offer support where needed and can cover a range of gym activities. Not for me. The product itself seems great. Very sturdy material and arch support if that’s what you’re looking for. The arch support isn’t too overwhelming, like the Nike Metcons for example. Couldn’t wear them for more than 30 minutes. The fit is too narrow and the ankle support is too aggressive. Got some friction burns on the Achilles. love the fit and performance. only issue is they get dirty fast (yes, I know they are white, but the still seem to get dirty quicker than other shoes) but they clean up well. they fit and perform well in the gym, so I would purchase again.
