    • Chelsea boots are really the way to go
I have about half a dozen pairs of red wings boots. But I’ve mostly focused on wearing boots that are easy to put on and take off so I’ve gone with a Chelsea boot style. These ones in particular are amazing and are very comfortable. If you have wide feet, I highly recommend getting the wide width one (which only come in the amber harness color). I usually wear an 11.5 US men’s size but in Red Wings I’m a 10.5. I have both the amber and black colors and wear them both equally. Plus, they look so much better than Blundstones. To break them in faster, I recommend investing in boot stretchers and conditioning the leather with something like Huberd’s Shoe Grease to soften up the leather and protect them. Also, wear thick wool hiking socks for the first few wears. If you do that, then I promise they’ll be the most comfortable boots you own. You could also skip my suggestions and just wear them in the normal way by just wearing them. It’ll just take longer to wear in. ... show more
