  • Well-Made, Great Value, and Perfect for Barn Chores Well-Made, Great Value, and Perfect for Barn Chores
Size: 42 Color: Navy
I'm 5'7" and 155 lbs. I purchased the Red Kap Men's Twill Action Back Coverall because I wanted something to wear over my clothes while caring for my horses in the morning, so I don't smell like "horse" all day. IYKYK. I initially ordered the 40. It fit fine over lighter summer clothes, but I could tell it would be too snug over winter layers like jeans and a flannel shirt. I exchanged it for the next size up, and it's been perfect. These coveralls do exactly what I bought them for: protecting my everyday clothes while doing barn chores. The material feels durable, the construction is solid, and they seem very well-made for the price. I looked at several more expensive brands before purchasing these, and honestly, I don't see what spending significantly more would have gained me for my intended use. If you're looking for an affordable, well-made coverall to throw on over your clothes for chores, farm work, or around the barn, these are a great value. ... show more

  • Excellent! Highly recommended.
Size: 44 Color: Navy
First, my compliments to Amazon. First pair too small. Exchange on track before I could refresh! Excellent business model and workers. Great coveralls but run small in my experience. I am 142 lbs, 70 in, 39 chest, 31 waist, 31 inseam. Per the chart I first ordered 40R, which were supposed to be roomy. Too tight in shoulders and could not bend or stretch without tension. Hard to don and doff. Thinking 42R should be a perfect fit, but wanting room to wear a light jacket or hoodie underneath, I ordered 44R. Perfect fit! These for work not costume. Confusion about the zipper in reviews. There is what I call a double zipper...one zipper, two pull tabs. Lower pull tab tucks into a little pocket and is virtually invisible. Can be zipped from bottom up for male calls of nature. My experience with these is that the zipper always breaks at the lower end, so I don't like but you may. Usual fix is to sew closed at bottom with nylon. Works. Zipper and large pull tabs are robust and all brass. Pencil slot in one chest pocket, two tool pockets on right leg, and no flaps on any pockets...which I prefer but you may not. Flaps are a hassle. Pass through side pockets and bag type side pockets...which I like better than patch pockets because they can be turned inside out to eject debris. Materiel is a heavy 35% cotton and 65% synthetic...a good mix although I really like cotton more. Excellent 5 star product despite grumbling. ... show more

  • Good quality with heavyweight fabric
Size: 52 Tall Color: Charcoal
I went with a tall sizing because of my height (I'm right on the border in the sizing guide), but they are a good 4" to long in the legs and almost not long enough in the torso for me (I have broad shoulders and stout build throughout chest and shoulders). I'm 6'2" tall with 32-34" inseam. I probably could have gone up a size or two because they are just a bit snugger around the middle than I'd prefer, but still work out. I'll take the blame for the snugger middle because I didn't go with a waist measure at the belly button list it suggests in the details. ... show more

  • Sizing to fit is a challenge!
Size: 48 Color: Navy
Sizing is definitely a challenge. My weight (205), height (5'9"), and since I wanted these for Hawaii, I would be wearing only underwear underneath due to the heat. So, settled on a size 44R, which I ordered. They arrived in a sturdy carboard shipping box. Result: Way too small such that I couldn't even zip them up. Immediately returned them. Wife then measured my chest at 45", so I ordered a size 46. They arrived in traditional Amazon reusable plastic bag. Result: still way too small. Immediately returned and reordered size 48. These arrived just today in a very lightweight USPS plastic bag. Result: good fit, but none too big. Keep in mind only wearing underwear underneath due to tropical heat. Another reviewer on here suggested ordering several sizes larger than what you would think. If you're wearing a layer or two of clothing underneath, suggest confirming chest measurement and then ordering three full sizes larger if you're close to my height, weight, and chest size. ... show more

  • Comfortable, durable. Nice product.
Size: 44 Color: Charcoal
has all the good features i look for - pass-through pockets, double-zipper, etc. comfortable, size 44 regular fits me fine (5'8" 175lb) even with my fat belly.. I can bend over and crouch down without it strangling me. Good for doing Actual WORK. Not insulated - which is what i was looking for, since warmer months I won't want too many extra layers especially when working hard. ... show more

  • FALLOUT VAULT DWELLERS COSTUME
Size: 42 Color: Electric Blue
All Vault Dwellers unite! All around awesome suit, but if you're like me you're probably wondering how the heck this fits. So lemme give you our experience. First, huge thanks to Amazon for having free shipping (Prime) and free returns. I had a hard time determining trunk length on this jumpsuit. I even went so far as to tweet Red Kap and asked how to actually measure my trunk length- to no avail. FOR WOMEN: Go for the free returns if you're not sure on your size. I couldn't get a gauge on anything because my proportions aren't manly and my body is long. I'm 5'7, 175lbs, top heavy with a freakishly long torso. I originally ordered the 44 Long and the 44 Regular and both were too big for me. The long was especially massive. The long was intensely droopy in the crotch and butt, but the regular wasn't too far off. Returning those, I nabbed the 42 Regular which turned out fine. I was nervous that it'd look weird in the arms, or worse... I'd be rocking some major camel toe and be stuck with the droopy suit I'd have to tailor down. I was pleasantly surprised. My best guess would be that for women with long bodies (such as myself) you don't need to really worry about getting a long if you're 5'8 and under. I'd probably just order one size up and roll with it. The regular is just a hair short in the trunk length on me but it's as good as it's going to get. I seriously can't ask for more. It's NOT a flattering suit, by any means, but it has room for tailoring if needed. Arms and shoulders are just a slight bit bulky, but fits me fine in the bust and legs. If I wear yoga pants and a tank top underneath and raise my arms up I sport a small bit of camel toe, but it's worth the sacrifice in order to find a suit that relatively fits the rest of my body. I won't be doing any jumping jacks in it any time soon, if you catch my drift. I'd likely wear a thin pair of shorts- there are "vents" on the side and I haven't quite figured those out yet. Putting the suit on is fine. Taking it off? Whole other story. I need assistance removing my shoulders and arms from the suit itself due to how close the trunk clips me on my frame. Make sure you have a buddy to yank it off of you come time if you're like me and cutting the trunk size close. MATERIAL: right now is a little bit scratchy, but after some washes and wears I'm sure the fabric will soften. It's a warm suit, so if you're headed off to a con or wearing it in summer, beware of sweating your butt off. I tried this on in A/C and I was warm standing in it. It'll be perfect for a chilly Halloween. FOR BIG MEN: My partner is a whopping 6'4 and comes in at 250lbs. We were worried he'd be rocking high waters and a moose knuckle. Not the case. He tried on the 52, 52 long and the 48 long. He kept the 48 long and it fits perfectly. No moose knuckles and no high waters. Overall looks comfortable on him. COLORS: They're not nearly as bright as they appear on Amazon. The electric blue turned out to be not nearly as electric as we originally were expecting, which we were thrilled about. It looks spot on for what we were hoping for. The Postman Blue was much darker, more of a vintage, dusty blue look. I can't imagine getting the Navy for the vault dweller suit, it would have been way too dark. All in all you can't beat the price, the colors are perfect, and the returns even better. Hopefully this reviewed helped y'all out! Happy Fallout costuming! ... show more

  • Made to a price point, not as good as Dickies IMO
Size: 42 Tall Color: Black
I usually wear Dickies coveralls but since I have some Red Kap shirts that I like I decided to try their coveralls and save some money. I ordered a size larger than I normally wear (42). I'm 5'11" 180lbs with a 40" chest and I wear a large tall in Dickies. These fit just about perfectly, but the trouble with that is you want just a smidge more room in a coverall to allow yourself to bend and stretch. So putting it on it's a little tight getting your second arm in, and when you bend it's too tight in the crotch. Sizing aside, when they arrived I immediately noticed the little things that make these not as nice as the Dickies version. The zipper sticks a bit, and doesn't feel as well made. The cuffs do not snap. The pockets aren't quite as deep and the material feels stiffer than the Dickies version (washing may help). Do any of these things mean that this won't work as a coverall? No. It just detracts from the overall experience. To me I'll pay the 15-20% premium and continue to buy the Dickies version. ... show more

  • Pretty good garment
Size: 40 Tall Color: Postman Blue
I use this when working wood with hand tools. Particularly when sanding. Using fine grit paper dust control is an issue as it goes everywhere. This helps keep it off me. Dust will stick to it and accumulate. Some finds its way thru too. It washes up nicely. I have had it for quite a while now.
