I have the suspicion that the thread gray is a defect and the smocks are sold at a discount. Good enough for me and works just as fine while I machine and polish.

I am finally getting into my shop to build my dream desk. But every time I do any work, I got clothes really dusty and filthy. Can't come back into the house like that and laundry is just piling up too quickly. I use to wear one of my father's (a doctor) smock when I worked in the shop but that one has been worn out long ago. These are just right. With more synthetic materials, they resist wrinkling too much. The 1/2 sleeves keeps loose clothing from catching in any machinery and the 3/4 length protects down to the upper thighs. I use this for hobby painting. I find it a bit small I find it a bit too hot to wear. I find the belt tie to be about 6 inches too short, so It is hard to tie in the back.

I ordered this to wear while painting (oils). It seems well made, but runs somewhat small. I am a female, 5' 9" tall, and wear a comfortable (loose) size 12. I ordered this in size L (large). Although it does wrap around, it fits snuggly without much room to spare (over jeans and pullover), and although the ties can be knotted, they aren't as long as they could be.
