A good thing about this tablecloth is that eventhough it is vinyl, it doesn't feel stiff like other plastic tablecloths do, and it has something of a flow to it. And I think it is that feature that makes it just as appropriate for the inside as it is for the outside. Maybe the flannel interior contributes in giving the tablecloth that flow, but what it definitively does is give it the anti slip quality; which is good on all dinning situations, but particularly in picnics because of the wind and all that. I always add a clear protective tablecloth on top of all my decorative ones, but being this one vinyl, you don't have too, because it doesn't absorb and it's easy to clean. ... show more

This is a nice vinyl tablecloth. It would have had five stars if it had been a little heavier; it is rather thin, making me wonder how it would hold up to regular use. I use a vinyl tablecloth primarily for picnics with grandkids, hence my concern about the relative thinness of it. I also use it on my kitchen island when baking to keep flour confined to the space. This is a great-looking tablecloth. The problem I have had with other vinyl tablecloths is that they are too thin and don't last. This one feels heavy-duty and should stand up to normal wear and tear. The design fits in with our decor.
