Description

For New Windows: The trim ring is required for the proper installation of a new window. For Replacement Windows: The trim ring is OPTIONAL when replacing a window of the same model using its previous trim ring, as long as the previous trim ring is undamaged. *It is recommended you include the trim ring if you are unsure if you will need it.* Horizontal windows are only able to be installed in the position seen in the photos or upside down. They cannot be installed on their sides due to the location of the weep holes.

So after I flung a magnolia cone into the window cutting the grass, I had to obviously get a new one. Came across this window after inputting the measurements I needed. I couldn’t find a window that wasn’t tinted in the size I needed so I went with this one. The window came and was packaged nicely. The window came with all the necessary materials to install it. Test fitting the window first showed that I needed some extra sealing due to my camper having metal siding. So I bought some butyl tape. The tape adhered the window to the side so I could see in the ring on the inside of the window fit. For my camper, the ring that comes with the window doesn’t quite fit, it’s too shallow to reach the window. So i reused the old one and it went together perfectly. The window opens and slides easy and locks easily. Great quality. I’m sure if you have a smooth sided camper you should be able to use all the new parts. But if you have the metal siding like me, you may have to use the old interior ring ... show more

I used this for a cargo trailer that had no prior window. Since it came without a stencil, I traced the back side of the window onto the box it shipped in and cut out the stencil. Once I had the stencil properly located on the trailer, I traced around it. Easy. I masked around the area to be removed with blue painters tape, and drilled one hole large enough to accommodate the jigsaw blade. Using a long blade, I was able to cut through the outside aluminum, the 1" Fomular insulation and the wood paneling inside the trailer all at once. I then test fit the window and inside trim rim and made any necessary adjustments. If I were to do this again, I could get away without being overly precise because it's good to have a bit of play while seating both the window and trim ring. And although the supplied gasket was said to be all that was needed, I ran a bead of silicone adhesive around the inside of the assembly, inboard the supplied gasket. Good replacement for what it is. Fit well. Sealed well. Works correctly. Screws are cheap and should be better quility. Not really self tapers. If I did another window I would get better screws at a hardware store

I got a smaller version of this exact window, the size down. This one does not have a template. The others do. That's weird. Caused alot of trouble getting it in, but in the end I got it. Would of been alot easier with that template.

Not highly recommended. Most significant is that the interior ring was slighty larger than the template requiring two different rough openings which is just funky. And there was some damage on the exterior trim that I could sorta bend back into place, and some scratches on the interior frame. I ended getting this one refunded (which was way easy with Amazon btw). I have 3 RecPro windows in my custom built camper that are solid so decided to get the Recpro in this size. More than double the price, yet worth it. ... show more

Just as others have commented, make your own template as the corners on the one it comes with are off. I have had it in for a couple of months on a trailer that has walls just over 1-1/8 thick and have had no issues. Also I recommend pre drilling your holes as I did to ensure you don’t break the glass if you slip. ... show more

Appears very well made and was easy to install but was hard to open. This was for new install in an enclosed trailer. I cut hole in trailer before testing window which was a mistake. Window was very hard to open, but being I cut hole and we had weekend trip planned with trailer had to finish install even though it is hard to open.
