I ordered the chrome rechargeable option. It is smooth, bright chrome made of fairly heavy metal. It looks really nice. The mirrors are high quality. The lights are cool, but not essential if you have other bright lighting. The unit comes charged up, so I have not recharged it yet. The only real negative is the swivel joints are a little stiff and don't move as smoothly as I would like. But, this may improve over time. I tried loosening the hex bolts within the joint, but they were tight and I didn't want to force it. Installation was easy, though the instructions say the included screw anchors are only for concrete. So, if you are screwing into drywall, you may want some other anchors. TIP: Screw anchors usually don't fit completely flush with the surface of a wall. So, when you install the mounting plate, it may rock slightly back and forth as you move the mirror arm around. Over time, this may loosen the mount, especially if its mounted on drywall, as mine is. To fix this, I fashioned shimes about 1/32" thick and put them between the mounting plate and the wall. Now, everything is nice and tight with no movement, Or, you could counter-sink the wall slightly so the anchors fit flush. Another comment: I find the 10x mirror to be too much magnification. One needs to get within 3 and 1/2 inches from the mirror, or distortion appears. This is not a criticism of this mirror because almost all of them available are 10x. And, this may be no problem for other people. But, in hindsight, I probably would prefer one with 7 or 8 power. All in all, however, this is a very good quality mirror which looks great on the wall and works pretty well.

I ordered this mirror in the color “Chrome,” which complements the décor in my bathroom nicely. The unit looks really nice in general, but the chrome finish (which is thick and shiny metallic rather than some cheap, painted-on finish) can tend to pick up fingerprints just like the mirrors themselves obviously do, so I intend to make a habit of wiping down the entire thing regularly. I do like that even though each side of the mirror arrived carrying a caution sticker, the stickers were basically statically adhered, so they left behind not even slightly visible reside for me to painstakingly clean off. The swivel action is smooth and the unit feels completely sturdy when engaging the swivel arm. It’s easy to position the mirror however you need with abundant angle options, and the arm is tight enough that even though swiveling it is easy, it holds its position firmly once you select where you want a mirror pointed. The magnified mirror on one of the sides is excellent, revealing lots of small detail, while the mirror on the other side has no magnification so that you can view your reflection as it appears more naturally. The LED lighting is fantastic as well! It evenly illuminates your reflection to allow for a better view. You can select between 3 color temperatures, which can each then be brightened or dimmed. The brightest setting is not even close to being uncomfortably bright, so I don’t really see the need to ever dim it. You can also leave the lighting off to reveal any natural shadows. Keep in mind that you can only toggle the lighting from the unmagnified side of the mirror using the clearly and tastefully marked touch sensor that is plenty responsive. To recharge the light function, you simply plug the mirror in using the fairly lengthy charge cord that’s included (or any other compatible cord). The USB-C end plugs into the mirror, and the USB-A plugs into a power source. This order did not include a standard wall outlet adapter, so you’ll have to provide your own if needed. When mounting this, it’s important to position this mirror closely enough to your power supply so that whatever charge cable you decide to use can easily reach that power supply. It was quick and easy to mount this mirror. The mounting instructions are clearly written and illustrated, but my husband didn’t even bother to refer to them because of how obvious it was to install this for a person as experienced as he is. The included mounting hardware seems good enough, but we always use our own wood screws for mounting projects. A handy drilling template was included to mark properly positioned screw holes prior to mounting, which was much appreciated! While you can use the included hardware to mount this into drywall, I do recommend mounting it directly into a stud, since because of this mirror’s swivel function, it can be encouraged to wiggle, and you don’t want that to cause any holes to open up in the wall over time. Besides explaining mounting, the instructions detail how to operate the light function, which you might want to refer to, even though it functions pretty intuitively, especially if you’ve used any similar device before. It’s a reasonably thick and satisfying-feeling book of instructions, though it’s not content-dense; rather, it’s simply reprinted in the languages English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish. Overall, I’m positively satisfied with this chic, useful, and perfectly functioning swivel mirror!

My first impression was that I really liked this mirror. It was easy to install and folded away nicely against the wall. I liked that the light inside the mirror had three settings. Bright white, a shade dimmer and a soft natural light. My favorite was the natural light and I had the mirror a couple months and that one quit working. It has a 10X side which I really wish was around 8X or so. The 10X makes it so that you have to be close enough to focus on your eyes or face and then it gets in the way when I’m putting on eyeliner and mascara. I like that I can see any flaws or smudges of mascara left on my eyes. But I could do better with an 8X side. I gave it 3 stars because of the light failure.
