I purchased the chrome finish, which matched my fixtures nicely. The installation instructions aren’t very detailed, but it was simple enough to figure out and only took a few minutes to mount it to the wall. I used the foam cover that was shaped like the mirror to get an idea of where I wanted it before I installed it. It’s nice to have the option of either the power cord or batteries. When I removed the mirror to installed the 4 AAA batteries, I was happy to find that the the mirror is tethered to the unit with a cord to offer some protection in case you accidentally drop it. As other reviewers noted, the lighting isn’t stand alone and is mostly useful on the 10x magnification side since you have to get very close.

Takes 4 AAA batteries - I should have read more into it: I thought it was chargeable with USB. It's not unless I purchase chargeable batteries. Otherwise, it is a good mirror and the lights are as bright as I would want them. I don't know how to use the 10X magnification on the opposite side - wish it was only 5X mag so I don't anticipate using that side much.

The mirror has helped immensely to have rather than leaning over the counter all the time. ESP when I was pregnant and couldn't. The magnify side is good magnification to do thinks like pluck eyebrows but you have to be very close to the mirror making it difficult. It works fine enough. It's the light that I was most disappointed in. I find it offers nothing. Luckily my bathroom has enough light to suffice. Just would have been nice since it makes a difference when doing make up.

Unless you install rechargeable batteries… In the pictures it shows batteries and charger. It also states that it can be used with batteries or you can charge it. It later states in the description that it does not hold a charge unless you put rechargeable batteries in it. My fault I should have read the entire description instead of going by the statements listed on the pictures. I would return it but it is already installed and my husband threw away the box. I really just do not like it tho.

Its great! Only one complaint. I feel like the charge does not last long, some products have a battery back up, I wish this one had that. I don’t use it with the light all the time and when I do, its a short period (few minutes). Just seems like a week will go by and I’ll want it with the light and its dead. Once you have holes in your wall (especially when its just painted) you don’t want to return and get a different one. I do love it though it is so much easier putting makeup on.
