This foam blaster set comes with everything needed to start playing right away. The realistic design and detailed shape make it stand out from basic toy blasters. This seemed like a really cool nerf gun. It was easy to put together, there are several options for scopes (which is neat), it looks pretty realistic and the battery operation for automatic firing was a neat idea. They come with 50x standard darts adn 50x suction cup darts, two sights, a scope two batteries, two varying barrel accessories, a vertical grip, triangle grip, light and three magazines. Unfortunately, the use of the item doesn't execute properly. The gun only runs for a few minute (three at most) before the battery dies. FULLY charged batteries. They get hot inside the handle and the gun stops operating. That is a serious safety concern. Even worse, once the unit cools down and you reconnect a DIFFERENT FULLY CHARGED battery, the gun will not turn on. We had this for about ten minutes with maybe 4 minutes of use before it just became inoperable. I can't say this is just a bad unit as we have two of them and they both did the exact same thing. They come with two batteries so you can swap out and continue the fun, but neither battery will turn the gun on. I wish they had worked off standard cell batteries rather than these. Overall, I cannot recommend the product. It's a cool idea and neat design but it just doesn't work. ETA: After sitting with the battery detached for 48hrs, the guns work again but again lasted a few minutes before overheating.

I bought this foam blaster as a gift for my son, but I tested it first to make sure it worked well. The semi-automatic firing is smooth and responsive, which makes it feel more exciting than basic dart shooters.
