The smell: At first I was prepared for the worst but when I opened it I hardly smelled anything! The realism: It's practically spot on. This an great toy. The base is very thick though so getting in to the hilt is difficult. It can be used with silicone lube, and cleans easy. It is over twelve (12") insertable length. Cleans easily, not rough or has parts that hurt. Almost smooth, but not completely smooth, so it has texture to it. I bought it again in a lighter color, it was half a centimeter longer than the light brown one, but that's a normal production variance. As I've had one of these for a few years now, I like it better and better. I stick it to the shower wall, and ride it like crazy. Why I moved it from 4 to 5 star rating.
