I did boil it upon arrival after close inspection for defects. I was a little sketched out that it could handle the heat so I didn't let it touch the pan. After it was dried, it didn't have the soft, skin like touch feel. But it still feels like the real deal! I did find after the first, gentle use, there's a small tear on the exterior. It will probably end up looking like the other reviewers photo of the tear. I will may ask for a replacement but idk if that's an option. It does have zero suction ability unless on a flat, horizontal hard surface. So that effects the versatility of location and creates a challenge for solo engagements.
