So the shorts do run a bit big. I'm 5"3 & 225lbs. I have a 40-4=in waste, thick thighs. I am an XL usually, but I ordered a 2x in these simply because shorts always seem to be too tight on my Butt or waste so i like them loose fitting since im a mail carrier, but not these. They do run a bit big, but they're so comfortable the way they fit. They don't cut into my stomach like other shorts. Very breathable, thin material. But not so thin you can see an underwear line. These shorts are super comfortable. They are thin and cool. The pockets are fantastic! They run a little bigger than I expected, but I can wear them as high-waisted so I’m okay with it. The only issue is the drawstring. It comes out so often if you don’t have it tied.

Amazon suggested 2x and I purchased 1x. They are HUGE all over. I’m 5’3 and usually like a 5” inseam that puts shorts a few inches above my knee. These say 4.5 inseam and were at my knees! I’m returning them and trying to decide if I want to try again, maybe with an XL.

I bought these shorts in size 2X, I wear an XL or 1X depending, because I wanted something that was baggy, yet flattering if I wanted to go somewhere. These are comfortable, fit well enough around my waste to stay up, feel good against the skin, have pockets to put things in like your cell phone, and come in a variety of colors (4 to a pack) so is also worth the money.
