With its patented easy-install design, Re-Grip provides a simple, economical method of replacing and enhancing a handle grip. It's as easy as "Slip It; Zip It and Re-Grip It". Re-Grip improves the handle grip on a variety of cylindrical and semi cylindrical objects such as hammers, wrenches, axes, picks, shovels, rakes, sports equipment, levers, flashlights, handlebars, automotive tools, wheelbarrows and more. Some of today's tools come with grips that are formed of soft material for comfort but they tend to fail before the tool breaks. Some grips are formed of a harder material to be more durable, but those grips generally sacrifice comfort. Replacement and supplementary grips are uncommon because handles come in a variety of shapes and sizes and because replacing a handle is generally a difficult process. Some replacement grips are available but they tend to be very specific to a particular handle and application. Others are cheap and difficult to install.     • It sure does grip, but it's hard to apply!

Well, it definitely grips! Unfortunately, it isn't very easy to apply to the handle. I was putting it on a broom handle that was less than one inch in diameter, as suggested. I followed the instructions, but it was so snug that it was almost impossible to apply it to the broom handle. I asked my husband to help pull the tab because I couldn't pull it hard enough even with gloves on. He was able to pull it for a little while, but it stretched and broke. He grabbed what was left of it with pliers. It came out a little more and then stretched and broke again. Then he tried pulling from the other end and was able to get a little more off from the opposite end. Ultimately, we got most of it out, but there's still a lump of about three quarters of an inch to one inch left about halfway down the shaft of the handle grip that we are unable to get out. The grip itself is comfortable, and I might try it again for another item, but there must be a secret technique to getting it on the tool just right. without leaving a lump in the middle. ... show more

    • Good product but doesn't shrink as much as expected

These grips have a nice feel and are easy to install. The only gripe I have is that if you use it on a handle at the lower end of its grip range it doesn't shrink enough to get really tight. The handles I installed these on have a slight curve at one side as they make a 90 dg turn. The grip is nice and tight on the straight section but did not shrink enough to be tight on the start of the curve. I trimmed it so it stopped before the curve became pronounced but it wasn't able to tighten over the last 1/2 inch where the handle starts to curve. My handle fell in the range of 2 sizes so I opted for the larger size to be on the safe side. If you're faced with the same dilemma it's probably better to go for the smallest size that will fit. ... show more

This is a neat product. I've used this before on rakes and shovels. I tried this on a 0.75" wagon handle and it was too large, even though the packaging states it will fit handles down to 0.68". Disappointed.

These are a fantastic product. Once you understand the size fitting installation is a breeze. Simply slide tube over handle, pull cord, done. Rubber material is grippy and feels great. Be careful not to buy to large of a size. Most of my DIY hammers used the small size. If in doubt buy the smaller size. Highly recommended. ... show more

have several old woodworking clamps that had wooden grips -- the composite grips on newer clamps are more comfortable, easier to tighten -- i thought this product might provide a way to upgrade the handles -- but i wasn't sure how or if i could cut the product to the size i needed -- posted a question -- got several answers -- put masking tape around the re-grip -- cut through to the inner plastic -- placed it on the first clamp -- pulled the plastic -- it separated perfectly -- stuck the second clamp in the remainder -- finished the process -- WORKED LIKE A CHARM -- have used them for several days and i am pleased to death -- got 2 more on order -- thank you re-grip -- no question in my top 5 purchases from amazon -- marvelous product -- i am not related by blood or marriage to anyone associated with this product -- ... show more
