I did not order this rug for the anti-fatigue benefits but tested them anyway while doing my dishes. The rug felt comfortable and not so thick that I'm tripping over it or feel like I'm leaning or unstable. I actually ordered this for use in my bathtub while I'm running my portable washing machine. I don't want to disturb my neighbors (or alert my landlord) when I'm using my portable washing machine. I have another mat but things can get quite noisy while the machine is spinning out in my tub and my current mat doesn't do much for reducing vibration or noise. This mat reduces any wobbling that may occur in my tub, decreases any noise and is waterproof. It's the perfect solution. When I'm not using it in the tub under my washer, I also use it if I'm doing household tasks that require me to be on my hands and knees. The mat cushions my knees and also provides a bit of rebound that makes it slightly easier to get back up on my feet. I spent a weekend assembling furniture and I was so relieved to have this mat to kneel on instead of unforgiving hardwood floors. This mat is slip resistant from what I can tell, sufficiently padded and thick to prevent fatigue and perfect for so many uses other than a floor mat. I would even put this inside a dog cage to keep dogs more comfortable as long as they aren't chewers. The uses for this mat are endless. ... show more

What a high quality mat! It is spongey but with just the right firmness. I should have read the size a little better. It is smaller than I would have hoped for that area, but I will get a bigger size and put this in front of the stove. It's a really nice mat that also rolls out nicely. I have a couple of thicker mats in my kitchen. I needed one more in the space where I do most of my baking. This is a great little mat that fits perfectly where I need it. Its not as thick as the others, which is ok. It feels really good to stand on.
