My son and I were having a blast with this indoors, but it wasn't hovering in place well so we went outside. I made sure it was a calm day before doing so, but a gust of wind came out of nowhere and that was the last time we saw it. It was wafted up so fast that I couldn't connect with it and the props kept going and it just disappeared. We were sad, but then laughed about it quite a bit. I will say that when I opened it, I was impressed with the quality and appreciated that the battery was built-in. It was easy to connect and just looked cool. This is great for beginners because the setup is easy and the controls are intuitive. Just be careful flying it outside if there's any wind. The quad copter is light and the props are not strong enough to overcome the wind. ... show more

    • Flies ok — once you get it trimmed
Needs trimming before you can really fly it. Not that difficult to trim, but you definitely need to read the instructions to figure out how. Controls take some practice to master. Note this has zero gyro controls, so 100% manual controls, which means to me that is not really a “drone” but instead is just a mini RC helicopter. So ok for the money but not super. ... show more

Battery life sucks really bad. Its easy to learn. Goes pretty high up. But not worth the headache of getting 10 minutes of flight, just to have to recharge for 2 hours.
