I've had several shelving units made with these teardrop thin metal bars in the past. This one is pretty sturdy for the design. Easy to assemble and comes in a small package, relatively. The "mallet" is trash and not very helpful. Light and cheap. Everything else is great. I suggest using a hammer and the glove to knock these in. Use the gloves as a protective barrier to the shelf. ... show more

Accurate measurements. One of the few options that I was able to find that will fill in the odd space in my office. Sturdy enough to hold heavy items as there are two support bars underneath each shelf, which I really like. Not as easy to put together as I imagined. The bars really need to be hammered in to lock into place. On the other hand, I don’t need to worry about it coming apart. The plastic/rubber feet/covers are not great. You’ll need to be really careful when hammering in the bars, or it will break off pieces of the feet/cover. In hindsight, I should put these in last, after everything is assembled. ... show more

I ordered this for my basement stained glass workshop. I liked that it was white since I have other storage units that are white. It was also small enough to fit in the space I have for it. Since I will be storing stained glass on the shelves I wanted something sturdier than the plastic ones I have. When I ordered it the information said it would arrive in 7 to 14 days. It actually arrived in three days. When I opened the box the packing was good. I didn’t see any damage to any of the parts. Assembly was quite easy, especially with the nice little mallet that was included for tapping the rails into place. The unit is quite sturdy. I slid it into the spot I have for it with no problems. I had read in some other reviews about the shelves making noise when you push down on them but mine didn’t have that. Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase. Great Shelf! I was really hesitant to purchase this shelf because of the little reviews (3) and the cost (For $109). I do think it is priced too high. It is almost exactly what I was shopping for my kitchen appliances. It is not as white as the photos though. Its more of a really really light tan color. It was very east to assemble. I was done in under 30 minutes and that was with taking tiny breaks for a drink or to say hi to the pups! Every so often one of the shelf brackets wouldnt set in as easy so I would just swap it with another one and that worked great. It had one tiny ding in one shelf itself but I placed that on the bottom row and you wouldnt be able to tell. I would say 4 - 1/2 stars just because of the strength of the shelves. If I was putting more weight I might replace the metal shelving with wood if it was going in the garage or something but for this purpose or for a closet storage it is plenty good. The size is as stated. I would say perfect for a pantry or clost or kitchen or for a lighter weight garage shelving. I think the sellers could due with out the "Heavy Duty" term. Its a Great Shelf. I would buy 5 more if they were more like $60-70 range. ... show more

This looks great in my apartment. I have a lot of dvds and books that are too heavy for most wood shelves and I didn't want a shelf that looked like office furniture or something meant for a garage. It helps a lot that it's white and doesn't stand out much other than what I put on it. Takes a some effort to put together but it's not too bad and I'm disabled. I would like it to have a more secure connection between the top and bottom halves but I don't think there's an easy way to engineer something like that given the efficiency of this design and once there is enough weight on the top half it's not really an issue. I figured out that I can use 1/4" Diameter copper tubing cut to 16-3/8" length so it will lock into the keyholes on the sides instead of using some silly bookends. I went with copper because I like the color and it's easier to cut with a pipe cutter but carbon fiber, wood, aluminum, and maybe some plastics could be used as well. Seems like that would be a good add-on purchase this company should make available. ... show more

I needed a shelf to place inside of a closet, & I wanted a white one. After doing some research & reading reviews I decided to buy this one. The dimensions listed were exact so it fit perfectly inside of the closet. The shelf is very sturdy, and very easy to assemble. It took me less than 30min to put it together. I had an issue with the delivery because FedEx claimed they couldn't deliver the package on the 1st attempt because of a security/gate checkpoint. The only flaw in their lie is that I don't have a gate. I contacted the seller & they followed up. By the next day the "gate" disappeared & I received the package. There was some damage to one of the mesh board. I notified the seller & they responded right away & offered me a solution. I was very pleased with the customer service provided. One of the shelves came damaged. The frame was difficult to keep together, despite "hammering" it with the plastic mallet it came with. The pieces kept coming unlocked. One of the frame pieces bent when moving it. I was really excited about this after reading lots of.great reviews, but was very disappointed in the quality and stability of this product. There is no way it can hold the amount of weight it advertises as it is wobbly with just a full laundry basket on it. ... show more
