Each shelf is reinforced, so it can carry a lot of weight. I'm really happy with this purchase. Also, it's very nice that they included a little hammer and some gloves, but I found it easier to assemble by using my own full-sized rubber mallet.

First, let me just say this shelving unit is definitely an upgrade from the traditional rack shelves of the past. The double walled uprights are a major improvement for stability and strength. And the all metal shelves with the bracing ribs complete the unit with incredible strength and durability. My biggest complaint from prior wood shelves was the warping and/or molding from using them in a garage or cold room. This is no longer an issue. My only complaint was that based on the advertising, I assumed these shelves were metal wrapped around a core material to give them their thickness and strength. I was disappointed at first when I saw that that were just metal with bent over sides and ends to make the appear thicker. I was afraid they would end up bending and getting ruined with any significant weight. However, this was not the case. With the extra support from the ribs underneath, these are impressively sturdy shelves. And to include a small rubber hammer and gloves for assembly, you’ve got yourself a great product?

Went together easily, very sturdy once assembled, super fast delivery and they don't look like cheap ones from the big box store. I'd buy 10 more if I needed more storage.

Almost all the parts are metal — powder-coated I believe — and though the shelving is surprisingly light once assembled, I have no complaints about how sturdy and stable it is. OK, maybe the thin shelves themselves are a concern. They seem a tad flimsy when you handle them but they do each have three built-in cross-braces on the underside. Time will tell if the shelves can hold the objects I want to place on them, some more than a hundred pounds, without denting or sagging. Assembly is easy, about 25 minutes (with two people). When, after assembly, you try to move the whole shebang into place, GRAB LOW and lift. Otherwise you will lift the top half of the shelving clear off the bottom — they're held together by gravity only, via a plastic L piece that doesn't lock into place. If I were the manufacturer, I'd have included four 50-cent metal brackets, one for each vertical rod, that would lock the top and bottom halves of those rods into position. There's no unpleasant smell and the shelves look utilitarian — hardly beautiful but not too depressingly industrial either. I'm pleased with the purchase.

They are only offering me 50 for a product I just got a few days ago. Update: Decided to Update the review because the customer service rep ended up issuing me my full refund.
