These are truly wonderful sunglasses — classic, stylish, and built with excellent craftsmanship. The construction feels solid and premium, just what you’d expect from Ray-Ban. The lenses provide crisp, clear vision with great sun protection, and the frame has that iconic look that never goes out of style. One small thing to note is that because of the lens angle and snug fit, you may notice temporary line indentations on your cheeks after wearing them for a while. It’s nothing major and just part of the classic Wayfarer design. The glossy finish on the frames also tends to pick up smudges and fingerprints pretty easily, but that’s expected with this type of material — a quick wipe and they’re good as new. Tried the RB2132 (new) 52 & RB2140 (original) 50 because there were both the smaller versions of the new and original wayfarers. First off, still giving these glasses 4 stars because they look and feel great. The original wayfarers look and feel a bit more heavy duty than the new version so I preferred the 50's. I have a narrow, kind of long face so I have an extremely difficult time with sunglasses. Have not found a single pair that are narrow/small enough for me. The 52's look OK, a little too small for me heigh-wise since I have large eyes, so I passed on those. I love the 50's...the look, the feel...almost everything is pefect except they are too wide ): I was going to keep the 50's anyway since my BF said they looked cool; however, I showed them to my mom and she told they were just too wide for my face. Ended up returning both, but still highly recommend these if you're looking for a cool pair of sunnies and are lucky enough to have them fit your face properly. I also love that the tortoise color is really dark, almost black. The lenses are also really dark....if only they fit me properly. Still on the hunt for a pair of sunglasses that fit me just right. ... show more

I bought these sunglasses as a replacement for Ray-Bans that I had bought in 2010. The first pair I bought was from Sunglass Hut--original Wayfarers with tortoiseshell frames and green lenses--they ran me $150 there. In the fall of 2013, I misplaced the sunglasses, and had always planned to replace them, but just now got around to it. I was going to go back into Sunglass Hut and repurchase the same pair, but a friend clued me in to this deal on Amazon. Seeing as how they are about $60 cheaper, I decided to go with these. They seem to be exactly the same as my other previous pair of Ray-Bans...they say that they are made in Italy, have the Ray-Ban inscription on the lenses and on each arm, as well as the "RB" etched into the other lens. They feel weighty and sturdy, clearly have the metal bar within the plastic arm for support, and have a 4 stacked barrel hinge on each arm where it folds. It came in a box that looked exactly the same as my old one (I compared) and had the leather case with the cleaning cloth just like my other one. As far as I can tell, these ARE real Ray-Bans. If they aren't, though...they're clearly STILL quality sunglasses that you're STILL paying a lot of money for, so who really gives a damn? As for technicalities, delivery was quick as always. Loved that it qualified for free shipping. As for sizing, I feel as though I have a pretty big head, and I still bought the 50mm size. Fits well, like sunglasses should. For $190, I expected new Ray-Bans. What arrived was used. There was makeup on the nose bridge, scratches on the lenses and arms, and the overall quality was disappointing. Compared to Ray-Bans I’ve purchased directly, these felt unusually light and didn’t have the same premium feel.
