OK, I was a bit skeptical about ordering this mask for just a joke to wear to work a couple of times... I mean, I could have bought the $14 one, but for $10 more I thought I'd get a little better one. Glad I did. First, I'm not sure what mask some of the reviewers received that gave this mask such low marks. Yes, it is not real leather, but a fairly thick like Naugahyde (I'm showing my age) that looks like leather, kind of. It did not smell bad even when I first opened it like some people complained of. Yes, it came flat packed, but the mask opened up and held it's shape without the paper towel stuffing in the beak that some said they had to do. The eye lens are fairly easy to look out of, but like a bird's view, they are not facing straight forward, but rather on the sides of the head... yeah, like a bird. I imagine wearing this for a long time would be hard because your straight ahead view is blocked by the bird beak. For fun I even tried it with my glasses.... which is pretty much a no-go. My wife who; a) hates Halloween and b) dislikes masks/dressing up etc. said "Wow, that's scary as hell, and looks pretty well made. OK, pros and cons of this mask. Pros... *The cost is OK for something I'll probably only get a few wears out of before I give it away to my daughter *this material looks like shiny leather and is thick enough that it hold the shape of the bird beak really well. *the little metal vent holes along the bottom do give some ventilation.. *the eye lens are pretty easy to look out of... I don't think I'll replace them like some people suggested *the straps also have a top strap which helps support... some cheaper masks only have a single strap *this thing is actually stitched together, and has metal grommets which adds to the quality look. *OMG, that thing shipped to my house in less than 36 hours. Cons..... *I have a slightly bit larger head than average... and this fits OK, so a young teenager might fit OK< but a "big boy" lugger head might not fit this well. *Not the easiest mask to look out of.... the lens are slightly tinted and they are mounted on the side of the mask, so looking forward is a little challenge. *I imagine this mask, like all full face masks will be hot to wear and steamy with your breath trapped in the mask.... along with the traditional garb that is a long coat and a top hat of some type.... or a hoodie. *It's made in China...… but what isn't now days (there probably are some USA made for $150+) Would I buy this again? .... NO, ha ha ha.... because I got one which is enough..... but I'd tell my buddies to buy this one so we could flock together. I'm glad I bought this one though. If you are so inclined, just wear a surgical mask underneath it if you are going out and about. ... show more

My eight-year-old wanted to be a plague doctor for Halloween this year and after reading through many reviews for different masks on Amazon and looking at pictures, we decided on this one. The quality of the mask is great and does not look cheap at all. I took the advice of other reviewers and stuffed some paper towels in the beak to give it shape. Unfortunately, after a few breaths inside the mask, my son reported that he couldn't see at all. He regularly wears glasses, however, and they didn't fit underneath so I'm not sure how much of his poor vision was due to the fog or just being without his glasses in general. Still, many people complimented his costume and he was very proud of the overall outcome. ... show more

It's a Very good mask, if you have a big head like mine maybe not be as comfortable but that's to be expected honestly, one of the Lenses on the mask comes slightly scratched but not enough to obscure your view or even hardly notice so I still would suggest it. I used the Packaging and some duck tape to fill the beak of the mask just to help it hold its shape more, I suggest this or some other method to anyone who gets the mask as its as it will be delivered flat and will take a while to get it to hold its shape. Overall thoughts: this Mask is very good value for your money and 4 out of five I would recommend it, straps on it are comfy and vary adjustable so no worries there. ... show more

So this comes flat-packed, but with a middle-seam, it easily expands. I stuffed the end of the beak with tissue, and this worked great to keep the beak fluffed. The lenses DO fog, but a little trial and error and I discovered that shaving cream does not help, but a tiny little bit of Dawn dish liquid applied to the inside of each lens was the best option and prevented further fogging. I've got a large head, and this is highly adjustable, comfortable, and doesn't move around at all once in place. Lots of great reactions to this! ... show more

So I previously went to the nearest Spirit Halloween to look for a plague doctor mask. All I could find were masks that did not feel good or didn’t cover the full face. So I decided to look on Amazon for a mask, and I found this mask. Comfort ability: Fantastic I really love the material that this is made out of. The mask is made out of a leather like material, and is super nice to wear. I could wear this forever Wear ability: Great The mask is great. The strap for it is like a belt buckle which makes it perfect for adjusting to your head size. It’s also easy to take on and off as long as you're wearing something to cover your hair. Looks Good: Awesome The way the mask looks is awesome. The black on the mask is dark, it also has metal dots on it which makes it look way better. It has some breathing holes on the bottom, but it does not take the look away. The beak for the mask is not too long but long enough for it to look cool and not be in the way. See-ability: OK The glass looks awesome, because you can not see into the mask but seeing out looks like looking out a window. It also covers up some of your peripheral vision which is annoying but still easy to look out of. There is also another problem and that's when walking around outside is that the glass gets foggy. I just fixed this problem with an anti-fog spray and it worked perfectly. Overall I love this product. It is very comfortable. Easy to put on and take off, and looks fantastic.
