  • Great kid/adolescent baseball bats!
Color: Black | Y242 | Adirondack Series Size: 30"
First-off, to address many other reviews, wooden baseball bats break. Always have and always will. After purchasing four separate sizes/weights of these bats, my son finally broke his first one. He is almost 13, but bigger and stronger than the average 12 year old boy. He broke a 29” model on a 50 MPH fastball from a batting cage after hitting 4-5 in a row which would have been home runs at a little league park. The only reason the bat broke (like most major league broken bats) is because this pitch rode up the handle and off the barrel. These are wonderful and very affordable bats that are perfect for any 10-14 year old brave enough to explore the use of the more complex wooden bat over the typical aluminum/alum hybrid bats routinely used in little league. If your kid breaks one, as will routinely happen with wooden bats at any level, use that as a teaching moment and get a new one. Lastly, I have now purchased and used 4 of these bats, and the first two were 29" long while the last two bats were 30" long. The first two (29") bats weighed 548g and 720g, and the second batch of two (30") weighed 625g and 656g. Therefore, I agree with the various reports of inconsistent bat weights, and this is common with non-major league baseball bats. If you want wooden baseball bats that are balanced, without defects, with consistent weight and length parameters, you will need to pay $100-$200 each for major league quality bats. Until my kid or yours hits the majors, I say let them break a few $25 bats that are well made but not perfect. It sure beats $200 a pop! ... show more

It split on its second day. my 11 year old had this split on him with a hit right off the barrel. I will never purchase another one.

  • Decent bat, wrong drop weight
Color: Black | Y242 | Adirondack Series Size: 31"
As some other reviews mentioned, the bat is fine, but the weight is off. It is marketed as -7. However, the 31" bat I ordered only weighed 20.5oz. In other words drop 10.5... My son's LL bat is -10 so not a huge deal, but I ordered it so he could have a wood bat to practice with that was also slightly heavier... ... show more

  • Seems like a very nice bat
Color: Red / White / Blue (USA) | Y62 | Player ... Size: 31"
I was a little worried about the durability of the bat from other reviewers especially because my son is 13 and has a very potent and fast swing. So far he has done 10 cage sessions and 4 games with contact spots all over the barrel and the bat is in as good a shape as when we got it. I have a feeling the broken bats are from handle hits, and most wood bats stand a chance of breaking from that. The grip is very nice, my son prefers to use wax or tar even on the grip but he has done without it as well. A very nice quality bat that looks AWESOME on the field. With the weight difference from his maple and the pop of the ash my son can swing much faster with this bat and the ball leaves the bat faster than his maple. ... show more

  • Not worth the price Not worth the price
My 8 year old had this bat for less than 6 months and it split. Very disappointed in the quality. My older son has a wooden bat that is a different brand that has lasted over 2 years and is still going strong. Expected more out Rawlings.
