  • good, comfortable skates
Bought these for my husband now that he comes skating with me once a week. He's been using them for a couple months and they've worked out fine. By skate standards they are quite comfortable and they seem to be quite sturdy for general skating. I don't know that they have enough support for double jumps, but they are certainly sturdy enough for beginning jumps. Because a couple other reviewers mention the toe pick, I'm just going to say that it is properly placed...if you are catching it on the ice (which you might if you are used to cheaper, recreational blades that have an incorrectly placed toe pick), your weight is too far towards your toes. Put more weight on your heels. The only complaint we had was that we used the sizing guide in the pictures and the suggested pair were way too large. We had to return them for a smaller size. There was no exchange option, only return, so I had to re-buy the smaller size and instead of returning the money it stayed in limbo for a few days while I re-bought the skates. The money ultimately showed up in my account as amazon credit. It's fine, since I buy enough stuff on amazon that I will eventually use the credit, but I would have preferred an exchange option or a prompt repayment to my credit card. ... show more

  • Very comfortable skate... roller-blade like feel.
This is the most comfortable ice skate I've ever owned. Padded like a roller blade boot. Good support. Warm on the ice. No break in required. My only complaint... most boot straps have a lever buckle to clasp and tighten them. This pair does not... you have to pull the strap tight by hand, which leads me to believe this strap will eventually break. Nevertheless, no regrets in buying these skates. I'm just a casual skater, and these are perfect for me. ... show more

  • Exactly what I was looking for.
I was looking for something affordable for skating a few times a year where rentals aren't easily accessible. My only complaint on the design is the little lace hooks are way too tight which are very difficult to hook the top lace into and back out. I think the laces will probably fray quickly but again I'm a very light user. But the skates fit just fine. Tips on sizing. I have a wide flat foot and finding things to fit without trying on is like playing the lottery. Based on the useless sizing chart it said I should get a size 9, or a size 12 depending on if you look at the length vs width. I normally wear about a 10/10.5 in normal shoes, and it recommended going down a size? I went up to an 11 and they fit just fine if not a hair snug in the footbox, but still provide good heel snugness. Go with your instincts if you have wide feet. ... show more

  • Great skate, very comfortable, but sharpen the skates before using at Pro Shops
The most comfortable skate I’ve ever tried, it honestly feels just like a really well made sneakers. The Mark 2 blades are great for casual skaters and you can do some small jumps on them but don’t expect to get a lot of ankle support. The blades come semi sharpened but I found them to be nearly impossible to skate on effectively without getting them sharpened at the Pro Shop. Overall quite happy with this skate. The accent on the back of the skate is silver not white, which looks much nicer in person. ... show more

  • The toe kick is too long and you may want to have it ground down
I bought these skates as a beginner learning how to skate. They are very warm and comfortable and I have not had any issues with fit or comfort. One thing I did was have the toe kick ground down as it stuck out too far. After removing the first tooth they worked great and have held up well!

  • Good Comfortable, Well-Fitting Skates
The "size chart" Said size 8 for me, but I always wear size 10 shoes, So, I ordered size 10. They fit perfectly and are comfortable. Blade bottoms are a little rounded, but not as much as hockey skates. I am getting used to it - a little unstable going straight fast, but good for turning. The claws on the front of figure skates (this is standard) are the only reason I have ever fallen down. Good Skates ... show more

  • Was nice, not for long.
Very nice skates. Go with your shoe size. I got 11's, my shoe size 10.5. A bit too big. Should have gone with 10.5. Update 12/13/2017. After 5 or 6 times on the ice 2 pins attaching the blade to the shoe got lose and now the blade is moving. I am not sure what to do. Afraid to use it as it is now.
