I have bought several Rawlings gloves for myself and my grandkids. This one is just for tee ball. But I don't like the normal cheap synthetic gloves commonly made for small hands. This tan/black I-web glove is real leather, is made quite well, and feels much nicer than I expected for the price point. It looks like a real ball glove too. It will take a bit of break in. But that means it should be more durable too. Only negative is that the palm is synthetic, so may feel hot. (Guess you can't expect everything to be great at this price.) My little pro picked this out for his aspiring little pro brother. The little one loved the Trout signature...even though we are Dodgers fans. It's a great glove, Rawling does it right. It has much more give than the heart of the hides do at first so it's perfect for the younger ones, or probably for mom's who have to try and keep up with their kid's needs to play catch. Seems well put together, stitching is good, though it still needs breaking in. I can't stand watching the ball bounce out of kids' hands cause they can't close the thing. Anyway, at this price I was wondering how they could say "all leather shell". So I cut off a small piece of the lacing of the same material and picked it apart. You can see from the pictures it looks like a .8mm (.03in) layer of very soft leather glued to a fabric backing. The leather is very very soft and at that thickness I am skeptical it will last too long, considering what happened to my last pair of soft leather work gloves. So it appears to be real leather but only .8mm of it. ... show more
