I bought this to display, but it would make a great trophy or reward for a baseball player as well. It's a perfect mini size but not too small. The glove looks really nice and real, just smaller. The gold is nice and shiny. Really unique item and well worth the price. EDIT: Bought a second one for a gift, and while the item is awesome, amazon put a big sticker right over the clear plastic display window. It wouldn't come off, so the display window and box are basically ruined even though the description said "Item will arrive in original packaging"- it's not original if it has an amazon sticker right on the front of the box. It would have been ok on any other part of the box- really disappointing as this is pretty much only a display item with no real uses besides looking cool. I would have paid the extra dollar or two for a "new" one if I knew it was going to be essentially ruined by a sticker placed without any thought. ... show more

This trophy rocks! We used this as a traveling award to motivate our players to focus on their defense this season. We would award it to the best defender after each game and at the end of the season, we awarded it to the best defender for the season. I am not sure if their defense improved, but the kids really loved the award and would talk about wanting to win it at every game. The quality is good. The glove is a mini version of a real glove and has some flex to it. The glove can be removed from the base and the trophy can be customized. The size and price are perfect for Little Leaguers. This thing looks awesome! Intended to keep it in the package and have done just that, so can't comment on the actual quality of the product inside the box itself. But going off the looks, it's pretty cool. I will say that the outer packaging is fairly easy to crack, so if you're looking to keep this in pristine condition, just be careful because I did have an issue with that. ... show more

This is awesome for any baseball fan collector. I used this to get autographed by a golden glove player. It is a perfect size for autographers. I would compare this to a “mini helmet” size. You should know there is a lot of writing and logo on the inside of the glove. The fingers of the glove are free and that’s where I had the player sign and inscribe. My dad loved this! ... show more
