My son loves this glove! I’m glad we thought to look on Amazon for it, because it was sold out in several places. We paid the same as it is everywhere else. But Rawlings is always durable and put together well, breaks in well, my son is 14 and works great for his infield position. Prolly not for bigger handed or the size we got anyway. Price is accurate for this purchase , it’s a gorgeous glove, and he’s catching and fielding balls left and right.( of course this isn’t the glove, you can do that with any glove). But it’s made well and looks great ! This will be his infield glove through high school (I say that , but I know better being married to a coach lol) ... show more

This is my first Heart of the Hide since I played in HS - over twenty years ago. This glove is straight butter. The leather is just remarkable. The break-in was almost too easy, but I was able to use the glove in a game two days after receiving it in the mail. I have absolutely zero complaints, and have since ordered another HOH from Japan that I use when I play second base - I use this one at third and OF. ... show more

Great glove! I needed a new glove for coaching little league. My last glove was the same I originally got in college and it was time to upgrade. I really liked the look of this glove. The chocolate brown looks amazing! Like any Heart of the Hide glove, the leather on this glove is high quality, relatively thick and stiff. There is a significant break-in period, definitely not game ready out of the box. However, spend a bit of time with a mallet and some catch and this will be a great glove for many years. When the package arrived, it was well packed and protected from the elements that can affect the leather. It is leather made and with quality! My son uses it for college and tells me that it's very comfortable and well made! He's able to grab the ball effortless and able to pull out for the quick sling throw! He's a shortstop so when he says it's perfect...take his word for it! You won't get a better glove with the quality that comes with it! This glove has been perfect for my 11 year old son. The contour fit is great for his current hand size. Plenty of length in the finger stalls to keep using for years to come. He loves the color scheme as well. Don’t worry about the R2G making this glove too soft and breaking in too much. The leather is stiff and breaks in like other HOH gloves I’ve had, maybe just a little faster. I expect this glove will last plenty of seasons. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This glove has the heart of the hide quality with a much quicker break in time. I was nervous the R2G series would not have the quality of leather that I wanted but I am beyond pleased with this glove. Super pumped to have this for years to come. What can I say about this glove??? There are standard baseball gloves and then there are Heart of the Hide baseball gloves... The best of the best, it doesn't feel like any other glove you have ever worn...it has nice molded stiffness to it but is still super soft and breaks-in very easily,. We used a wooden ball mallet and played catch with it all weekend and boom it was ready to go. We got it on a Wednesday and used it in a scrimmage about 5 days later.
