  • Accurate and affordable

Great addition to my garage practice setup. Easy to use. Subscription not required.

  • A game changer !
Style: Monitor
Purchased my Rapsodo 6 weeks ago and I’m completely hooked ! Incredibly quick set up. I have an outdoor hitting station set up and I use my Rapsodo with my iPad. I love getting immediate feedback on each swing. Everything works so well , the launch monitor easily picks up each swing, connects to the iPad perfectly. This has been such a great aid to my practice sessions. ... show more

  • Makes practice SO much fun!
Style: Monitor
The media could not be loaded. I have had the Rapsodo MLM for about a week now and I have to say that I LOVE this thing! I had tried the Garmin G80 but as a launch monitor, it just didn't do enough. I use Arccos for tech and tracking on the course, but I wanted something for practice, and the Rapsodo has been just awesome. I live about 5 minutes from a TopGolf so I go there quite often to practice. I have only taken the MLM there up to this point, but it's been great. SETUP Setup really is a breeze. The MLM only works on iOS right now, but from what I'm hearing, Android is in the works. You simply download the app, link it to your phone and you're good to go. The MLM device is already pre-calibrated, so it's as easy as connecting it to the phone, setting it up behind you (about 8 ft away, make sure that the phone can see you completely in the screen) and you're off and running! USING THE MLM Be sure to read the manual so you know what each light color means. In order to change your club in the software, you wave it in front of the camera and then turn over so the camera can see the number on the bottom of the club. The software easily recognized my irons and changes the club accordingly. It did not recognize my woods or my wedges well, however. It saw my PW, but not my 52, 56 or 60 degree wedges. In cases where the system doesn't recognize the club, simply select it in the software. Once you have the correct club selected, hit away! The MLM takes a video of your shot and gives you the carry distance, launch angle, club speed, ball speed and smash factor of every shot. It also uses the camera to give you a trajectory of your ball in the video. This worked about 95% of the time for me. I think it only missed trajectory once or twice. (See video for trajectory) The software also tracks how your shots land and distance of clubs. I put pictures of both my woods session and my irons session so you can see what the software tracks. It's great to see shot dispersion and distance of the different clubs. Totally gives me more confidence in my distances and placements. (You have to setup your GPS location as well as direction you're hitting to...I messed that up a bit as the map had me close to the right position, but the map picture was of the area before TopGolf was completed.) The system comes with a great case and is very protective. I love the ability to scrub the video of my swing. I can see my swing frame by frame to see what is going on...I can even share with others if I decide to take lessons. My only issue was for about 30 minutes I couldn't get the system to see my shots. It looked like it was working but wouldn't do anything. It was more than likely user error. I had grabbed my phone and ran to the bathroom so it lost bluetooth connection. Once I shut down the system/app then re-connected, all was fine. All in all, this is exactly what I'm looking for. Right now, it cannot be used indoors, but I did get an email from a Rapsodo rep stating that functionality just might be coming in the near future. I'm sure there won't be any trajectory tracking but we may be able to get the ball statistics and swing scrubbing. This has been a GREAT Christmas present! Looking forward to see how this will continue to help me in practice and lower my scores. ... show more

  • Rapsodo vs Flight Scope’s Mevo
Style: Monitor
Overall a good device. The setup instructions are bit vague. A couple a things I learned along the way regarding setup. The instructions say hold the device 4.3” from the phone to calibrate. I thought 4.3” seems very precise and must have some impact on calibration. I tried over and over to calibrate the device at close to 4.3” and could not. Finally I reached out to customer service and they told me I could go more than 4.3”. This made Calibration a bit easier. Still a bit of a pain. I also struggled to include my swing in the video when setting the device the recommended 8’ behind the ball. Customer service said I can move the device further back without impacting accuracy. I also learned the heading setting has no impact on the device’s measurement of distance. It’s a little tricky setting the heading. Once set up, the device does a nice job of capturing the data and allowing you to sort it in several ways. Compared to Flight Scope’s Mevo... Rapsodo shows you balls fight path using a red fracking line. It identifies each swing as a fade, draw, straight etc. Mevo does not. Rapsodo provides a google map type image of your range or course and the gps locations of where you hit your balls. You can see patterns clearly. Mevo does not. Mevo provides spin rate and height. Rapsodo does not. Rapsodo’s software allows you to sort data by column and tracks your average distance for each club in a user friendly interface. Mevo does not. Rapsodo only provide video of your swing from directly behind the ball. Your phone must be placed on the Rapsodo device. Video playback is limited. No slow motion or ability overlay video with lines and circles. With Mevo, your phone can be placed in any location and video play back can marked up and played in slow motion. The video feature is one Mevo’s stronger points. However, Mevo saves all the video on your phone in your camera role. 6s clips. Rapsodo will save up to 100 clips on their cloud service. For annual fee of $100 it will save unlimited clips. Overall I think the Rapsodo is the superior device. The only real advantages Mevo offers are the ability to obtain video from different angles, video play back options and the ability to measure spin rate(although you have install a small silver sticker on each ball to track spin rate). Mevo’s software is far better. More than seeing your distance, you can see how you hit the ball, fade, draw etc. The ability to see your average distance by club is easily accomplished. You can sort all your stats various ways including by week, month and year. You can sort by distance, club speed, launch angle, etc. While Mevo’s video is better, Rapsodo’s cloud service is big plus. You don’t have to load up your phone with all the videos. You can track data only with Mevo and not capture video. Apologies for cryptic typing. Typing review from my phone... ... show more
